Year 5 have had an inspiring and thought‑provoking week of learning🤩
The children took part in a special refugee workshop where they met Dina and Ayman, who bravely shared their own experiences of seeking safety in a new country. The pupils were able to ask thoughtful questions and were truly moved by the courage and resilience shown in their stories. 🌟
Later in the week, the class joined a Year 6 hate‑crime workshop, exploring the importance of respect, empathy and standing up for others. Both sessions gave the children valuable insights into fairness, inclusion and the power of kindness.⭐️

Today we welcomed the fabulous Rocksteady Music School into our assembly.
What a way to end our week! The children loved listening to Rich share his love and knowledge of playing in a band. They sang, danced and clapped along. A highlight of the morning was Mr Pardy, Mrs Parson and Mr Wheelan taking to the stage for an impromptu performance.
Both KS1 and KS2 participated in music workshops during the morning.

An exciting announcement will be made next week regarding opportunities to work with Rocksteady music school from September 26.

Today our school cooks prepared a lettuce tasting table – and what a hit it was!
The children had the chance to explore different varieties of lettuce, taste them, and take part in a fun “Guess the Lettuce” game 🕵️‍♀️🥗
A big well done to everyone who took part 👏 and thank you to our wonderful kitchen team for making healthy eating fun and engaging! 💚
