DFN Project Search; Shrewsbury Hospital This Supported Internship programme has been developed in partnership with Project Search and the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. It is a one year programme that is aimed at young people aged 18-24 with an EHCP. The programme is based in a real working environment where you will participate in workplace....

Yesterday was the first day for our second cohort at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust we are so excited to watch their journey!!

We are looking for young adults, ages 18-24 with an EHCP to join this AMAZING opportunity to grain transferable skills in a supported environment. Shrewsbury Colleges Group has partnered with ESS Compass at RAF Cosford to deliver a LIFE CHANGING DFN Project SEARCH Programme.

Shropshire Council

We've teamed up with training and education partners to offer 10 internships for young people (18-24) with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) at RAF Cosford.

This is a fantastic opportunity for young people with learning disabilities and autism to learn transferable skills for a variety of roles, such as catering, hospitality, administration, and facilities management.

The programme starts this September 2024. Deadline for applications is Monday 1 July.

📢 Happy National Supported Internship Day 2024

National Supported Internship Day is the first national celebration of supported internships in the UK. 🙌 👏

Through these Supported Internships, young adults with a learning disability and/or autism are able to thrive in an inclusive environment, while learning skills for a lifetime. To celebrate this day, our Interns confidently hosted a Reverse Jobs Fair to show off their skills to future employers.

These experiences wouldn't be possible without our partnership with The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust. A big thank you to all of our departments working with our Interns and mentoring them, we really appreciate you all.

Happy Monday, folks! We have a busy March coming up and are excited to tell you all about it! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions 😃

♦ We can't wait to meet our future interns at the recruitment event on the 15th. During this event, you will have the chance to meet the team, ask any questions, and even do some practical tasks to identify your strengths. We will also provide an overview of the program, including the application process and the support we offer to our interns.

♦ Reverse Job Fair. Join us at this incredible event where DFN Project SEARCH Interns set up booths and employers walk around to learn about different candidates and opportunities. This is a great ending to The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust Neurodiversity Celebration Week, happening March 18-March 22nd.
