More fun was had last week as we held our first internal Chess competition of the year, with students playing not only each other but some staff too♟️

Also, students and their national societies cooked and shared dishes from their home countries in our annual International Food Fayre. This year also featured a chilli eating competition for charity! 🍜🥪🥗

Where can studying Art at Concord take you?

On Saturday 31st October, Concord College will be hosting 'Art Matters' - a very special Concord alumni exhibition at The Crafts Council in Islington, London.

With over 60 artworks by alumni in the creative industries on display, ‘Art Matters’ will demonstrate how studying Art at Concord can open doors to an extraordinary range of creative careers.

The wonderfully eclectic collection includes architectural drawings, clothing, jewellery, ceramics, embroidery, photography, paintings, digital artwork and thought-provoking video installations.

Notable exhibitors include internationally acclaimed fashion designer Nensi Dojaka (whose creations have been worn by stars including Zendaya, Dua Lipa and Bella Hadid), renowned architectural designer Ivan Hung (designer of the flagship Vo**ur Vo**ur store, London) and award-winning professional make-up artist Ophelia Liu (winner of Netflix /BBC's Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make-Up Star).

All are welcome and admission is free.

Concord's 6.2 Economics students have recently been celebrating individual successes at an international level in the International Finance Olympiad and International Environmental Olympiad.

Additionally, six students achieved gold in the UK round, European round and World Final of the World Economics Cup!

Our busy induction week is coming to an end, and our new students have certainly packed a lot into their first few days with us.

From campus tours and orientation trips to our local towns, to bowling, trampolining and taking on our High Ropes course, there have been plenty of opportunities to get involved, have fun and, most importantly, make new friends. They’ve also been making great use of our fantastic sports facilities! 🏃‍♀️🎳

Alongside all the activities, students have been settling into school life — visiting the library to collect their books, attending talks and assemblies, and even completing their first tests to make sure they’re ready to get started with their lessons.

It’s been a fantastic start, and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the term brings! 📚✨
