After the wonderful response we received last year, we will once again be creating another one of these wonderful hampers to donate to someone who has had a particularly tough year. Last year we managed to send out 3 due to the contributions and fantastic support we had.

We will once again be taking confidential nominations which can be sent through messenger on the Stargazers Page or to my inbox.

Let's make someone's Christmas truly magical ๐ŸŒฒ๐ŸŽ…๐Ÿคถ

What a fantastic start to our last week of term! The children thoroughly enjoyed our visit to a day centre this morning. We sang our winter songs, joined in with colouring and creating with playdough. The children also joined in with singing happy birthday to a lady for her 90th birthday. We were so very proud of the way the children behaved and interacted with others.

๐ŸŒŸ Thank You!๐ŸŒŸ

I just wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to everyone who came to the Big Stars 2023 School Leavers Nativity this morning. There are not enough words to describe how proud we were of the children. We also want to say thank you to all the grown ups who turned up to show their support it is amazing after nearly 3 years to finally welcome you all back into the setting.

๐ŸŽ„ Reverse Advent Calendar 2022 ๐ŸŽ„

Good evening,

This year will be our third year of taking part in a Reverse Advent Calendar. Last year we were able to send out 3 hampers to deserving families and we would love to achieve this again ๐Ÿฅฐ

For those who were not at Nursery last Christmas a Reverse Advent Calendar is the idea where instead of opening one item on each day of advent, you give an item. We then put all the items together to create a Christmas hamper. Our calendar will be running from the 1st December until the 16th December.

If you would like to be involved with making a donation, then please comment below or on your child/ren care diary. I will then send you an item and a date to bring it on.

We are also taking nominations for people or families who you feel would benefit from receiving a hamper, thinking of anyone who has had a particularly tough year, suffered loss etc. These can be kept anonymous and nominations can be sent privately through our Stargazers FB page or again on your child/ren care diary and to our Stargazers email account

Thank you for your support in advance and for helping us send some Christmas cheer to someoneโ€™s year ๐Ÿฅฐ๐ŸŽ„

๐ŸŒŸ Harvest Update๐ŸŒŸ

Thank you for our donations so far ๐Ÿฅฐ

Good evening,

We would like to invite the children who will be attending Nursery in Big Stars on Monday 31st October to wear their Halloween Costumes if they wish. Our activities will be based around Halloween and the Story Room on the Broom.

We look forward to seeing the children in their costumes.

Big Stars Team ๐ŸŒŸ

During the week commencing the 17th October we would like to invite the children across the whole Nursery to bring in a tinned or dried food item for our Harvest display. All donations will be taken to the Shrewsbury Food Bank.

During this week we will hold a Harvest Festival over a couple of days for our 2023 school leavers which will be recorded for your childโ€™s Tapestry. The children will be involved in singing a few songs.

Many thanks for your support

To mark the passing of the Queen ๐Ÿ˜ฅ we have started to create a Murial on the front of the Nursery fence. We would like to invite the children to leave flowers, pictures or a token of Rememberance to leave in front of it.
