Maria's Childminding I am a registered childminder and was graded 'outstanding' by Ofsted. Before childminding, I was a primary school teacher.

We have lots of fun doing arts and crafts, baking and spending time in nature. Please pm me for information regarding vacancies. I childmind from my home in the Radbrook area of Shrewsbury. I have over twenty years experience of working with children. Since becoming a mum, my interests shifted to the learning and development of babies and very young children, and so I decided to train as a childminder. I keep my numbers small and never take on the maximum amount of children that I am allowed to. This enables me to provide the very best care and attention for each child. My fees include healthy snacks and home cooked meals - so you don't have to spend your precious time packing up lunches for your little one.

Our amazing neighbour found this stunning dragonfly and knew that my mindees would love to see it. We often see dragonflies zooming around when we are on our walks, so we were thrilled to have the opportunity to see one up close. As it was sadly dead, we were able to touch upon life cycles too. RIP beautiful insect.

It's now officially autumn! We spent the morning in the woods and looked for early signs of my favourite season. :)

Today, we went on a big walk to our favourite apple tree. We collected some fallen apples for our garden kitchen - which kept us busy all afternoon as we cooked up a storm. We were also VERY happy that puddles have returned after the never ending heatwave. We had a good old splash and got drenched. :)

Yesterday, we picked some blackberries and made blackberry crumble - and of course had a story about blackberries. The mouse in the story realised that blackberries are better when you share them with friends, and so the children saved some crumble for their little friend who wasn't in until today. :)
