Yesterday, we picked some blackberries and made blackberry crumble - and of course had a story about blackberries. The mouse in the story realised that blackberries are better when you share them with friends, and so the children saved some crumble for their little friend who wasn't in until today. :)

Today, we carried on learning about feelings. On our walk, we saw damselflies, a HUGE dragonfly, a mouse and lots of butterflies. We did some relaxing painting and did lots of problem solving with our favourite toys and puzzles.

Today, we spent a cool morning in the woods, read our book of the week and discussed emotions, produced some beautiful art work and played some board games. We also had lots of singing, free play, funny conversations and about 5000 rounds of Hide and Seek in the garden. :)

A lovely read for a Sunday afternoon in the garden. This book was written by a professor at my old uni, and she is fabulous, so I know it will be a good one.

I couldn't resist this beautiful cuddly fox from Cuan Wildlife Rescue charity shop this weekend. I have some beautiful fox story books on our plans for autumn and winter, and this little guy/lady will be the perfect prop.

We found a nice shady spot by the river to listen to our story today. The story is about a boat trip on a river, so where else would we go? :) We saw a real boat and everyone on board gave us a big wave. It made our day!

Three of my girls decided to draw their mummies on magnetic paper. They stuck them in a row on our fridge so that they could see them each time they walked past. It made them very happy! I have delightful and heartwarming moments like this every day. :)
