Bicton CE Primary School & Nursery

We had a fantastic end to the half term, with Jake stepping into the role of head teacher for the day. He said the day was ‘a bit stressful’, but with a day full of ice lollies, extra play time and a choice of fun lessons in the afternoon, we were wondering if he might like to take on the role full time?! (Sorry Mrs Mavin!!)

On Thursday, year 5 and 6 went to Bicton Church to enjoy a morning of activities relating to the time after Easter for Christians. They all had a thoroughly enjoyable morning. Thank you Reverend Hannah and the other volunteers to helped put this event on for our children.

A huge thank you to Friends Of Bicton School and Nursery who have been working so hard to raise money for our school. We’ve still got a long way to go, so if you have a fundraising idea please let us know.

Another big thank you for the children’s Easter eggs from FOBS. They were very kindly donated by Morrisons. As you can see, they were VERY happy! 🐰🍫

This week, we have been doing lots of making, cooking, baking and EATING! As part of the DT curriculum, Oak class made spaghetti bolognese, Maple class made biscuits and Birch class made wraps. Taste tests were VERY important and definitely the best bit! 😋

Our Easter service at Bicton church was a lovely way to end the term. The children sang and spoke so beautifully. Thank you, as always, to our parents, carers and families for showing support to our wonderful school community.

Well done to our iRock superstars who performed in their first concert this afternoon! It was fantastic to welcome so many of their grown ups to watch. We think they were amazing and are so proud of them! 🎸🎶🎤

The Isle Court Team visit “Bicton School” this morning to deliver Easter Eggs for the children! Was so lovely to see the children, they had just had their Easter Assembly and all very excited, from all of us at Isle Court Nursing Home, we wish all the Children a lovely Easter! 🐣
