Relax Kids Shrewsbury with Jess

This week in our Relax kids sessions at Severndale Specialist Academy we will be making our own worry dolls as well as moving our bodies and practicing mindfulness.
Worry dolls originated in Guatemala with a tradition dating back to the ancient Maya culture, where people would share their worries with these small handmade dolls and place them under their pillows to have them taken away overnight.

We''ve all heard the saying 'A problem shared is a problem halved' and it really is true!
By sharing your worries or difficulties the emotional burden feels less overwhelming, and you can more easily find solutions or cope with the situation. This happens because sharing a problem can provide comfort making it less frightening and easier to manage.

I'm looking forward to starting these sessions at Severndale Specialist Academy today!

Each week we will be enjoying movement, games and creativity that help to build self esteem, resilience and wellbeing 💜💜💜

It's a brand new term at Severndale Specialist Academy and this week we will be focusing on recognising and expressing emotions through movement, play, breathing and creativity 💜

We are sharing the book ''The rainbow fish' this week at Severndale Specialist Academy a story which encourages us to use positive affirmations in our own lives ' I am valuable and worthy," "I can find joy in kindness" and "My true beauty lies within" 💜
We'll also be creating our own sensory affirmation Rainbow Fish ❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜

Happiness and fulfillment can be found in the quiet and subtle moments, and this morning my joy came from hearing the birdsong on an early morning walk 🐦 Spring is full of positive moments and space to grow 💜
