Ready Teddy Go Pre School Ready Teddy Go Pre School accept children between the age of 2 and school age, we are based at Thorpedene Community Centre.

We at Ready a Teddy Go Pre School are a warm and welcoming pre school where we always put your child first. Your child will be encouraged to learn and participate in playful and educational activities, as stated in the Early Years Foundation Stage. We will also help your child prepare for full time education. All of the children who

attend our pre school have plenty to keep themselves busy, from singing and drawing to going on a trip to the local beach or playing in our outside play area. To prepare your child for school older children are put into small groups and carry out Maths and Literacy. The year before the children go to school, they will go on a Outdoor Learning programme. We go on lots of adventures including, pond dipping, bug hunts, kite flying, bear hunts, bird games and lots lots more. Throughout the year all children take part in events such as sports day , stay and play and the Christmas show. We also have termly parent and key person meetings. Our session times are

Our staff at Ready Teddy Go Pre School are experienced childcare practitioners (with a minimum qualification of level 2), CRB checked and are paediatric first aid trained. What we can offer you and your child? A safe and secure environment

This week at preschool we are starting our Mother's day craft.

Sound of the week is 'D' please practice this at home. The simple action for this sound is to pretend you are playing a drum.

Shape of the week- SQUARE
You can support this by asking your child if they recognise the shape, how many sides it has and if they can find anything that is a square shape.

Number of the week- 3
You can support this by encouraging your child to count using fingers, claps or jumps.

This week at preschool we are learning about farm animals

We are doing different crafts for different farm animals, learning about where the animals live and what the animals do.

We are also recapping on our sounds of the week which are S,A,T,I,N,P.

Our number of the week is 3.
You can support counting by counting fingers, counting claps or jumps.

Our shape of the week is a rectangle.
You can support this by asking your child if they can find anything that is a rectangle in the house, the shop or outside.

We are encouraging children to become independent when putting their coats, hats, scarfs and gloves on. If you could practice this at home too it will really help with your child's independence in self care. 🧤🧣🧥

Remembrance- 11th November
We will be doing different crafts and making poppies for remembrance day.

Leaf printing- Now the Autumn is here and the leaves are falling we will be doing leaf printing. 🍂🍁🌿
You can do this at home by simply picking up some leaves on your travels. You can then ask your child
what size the leaf is?,
what colour the leaf is?
What does it feel like?
This will encourage your child to understand simple questions and will encourage their speech by them replying to your simple question.

If you do any activities at home, you can upload to tapestry. This will allow your child's keyperson to sit with your child and talk about the activities they have been doing. 😀

This week at preschool we are learning

- Our shape of the week which is a heart ❤

- Our sound of the week which is 'I'

- We have also enjoyed setting the garden up as a builders yard, where we have different bricks and building materials. We also have our Hi-Vis jackets and hard hats! 👷 This encourages the children to build friendships and for them to use the tools for a reason.

- This week we will be enjoying exploring pumpkins 🎃
We will be scooping out the inside of the pumpkin and exploring what it smells like and what it feels like.
This encourages the children's fine motor skills.

- Now the colder weather has arrived we are encouraging children to try and put on their own coats before going in the garden. This helps with their independence. 😀

We are holding an open afternoon on the date above where you will be able to come along and look at the preschool and meet the staff.
