Kat Dewey Music Piano/keyboard, violin, guitar, ukulele, singing and theory taught. Beginners especially welcome.

Kat has been performing for 28 years and has gained vast experience within the music industry. Classically trained in violin, piano and vocals, at the age of 18 she was the lead violinist for Essex Young People’s Orchestra. Continuing with her studies, Kat gained BA Music Production at The University of Essex and moved on to work extensively in the contemporary music business. She has played guita

r, bass and performed lead and backing vocals with several bands and gained valuable experience including live radio performances, recording and touring with bands such as The White Stripes while supporting Jools Holland. More recently, Kat’s teaching career began when she was an Associate Lecturer in Music Technology at SEC and from there was headhunted by a local school to provide music tuition for their students. Kat has developed extensive experience working with KS1 and KS2 and has a good knowledge of the music National Curriculum and how children learn. Happy to give piano, guitar, violin, ukulele and singing lessons to students of all ages, all levels and all abilities, either from her home in Shoeburyness, the student’s home or at the studio in Southchurch, Southend, Essex.

Kat has been performing for 28 years and has gained vast experience within the music industry. Classically trained in violin, piano and vocals, at the age of 18 she was the lead violinist for Essex Young People’s Orchestra.
