We'd like to say a big thank you to everyone who joined us for the bingo evening at Long Compton Village Hall on Friday. We're not convinced that Mecca Bingo will be reaching out to offer Bryn and Tim permanent jobs any time soon (sorry guys 😬), but it was a really fun evening and your generosity helped us to make over £320, which will go towards activities for the Acorns pupils scheduled for the summer term.

Join us for our grown ups only bingo evening and help us raise money for Acorns Primary School.

There will be six games in total, with line prizes and a different colour hamper for each winning full house. We will be serving drinks and snacks from our pay bar and we're hoping to welcome a full house of bingo enthusiasts for our first event of 2026 (excuse the terrible pun 😁).

Please help us spread the word by sharing this post and telling your friends and family. This event is open to all grown ups, not just members of our school community.

🎅 The Santa Trail is Back — and It’s Bigger & Better Than Ever! 🎄

Get ready for a day full of festive fun on Saturday 13th December, 10am–4pm!
We’re teaming up once again with LC Sports Club for our every-other-year Santa Trail — and this year, we’ve sprinkled in even more magic! ✨

Expect games, treats, refreshments, and a few surprises along the way… 🎁

So dust off those Santa hats, gather the family, and join us for a day bursting with Christmas cheer!

📎 We’ve attached our poster — please share it far and wide and invite your friends and family to join in the fun!

🎅 Want to sponsor or display a Santa? Our Google Forms are now open!
Displays are based in Long Compton (ideally school side) — but if we can spot your Santa from across the main road (like The Red Lion, for example!) then we’d love for you to sign up too! Please note that sponsor and display forms need to be completed by Saturday 29th November.

🔥🎆 A Huge Thank You to Our Incredible Helpers 🎆🔥

What a fantastic Bonfire Night! We want to give a heartfelt thank you to every single helper who made it possible. From parking cars and checking tickets, to selling glow sticks, serving food & drinks, setting up, tidying away, marshalling to keep everyone safe, and lighting the firework display — your hard work and teamwork were truly outstanding.

The event ran so smoothly because of you, and the positive feedback from everyone who attended says it all. Your time, energy, and commitment is very much appreciated.

We simply couldn’t have done it without you.

The countdown is on and we’re so excited to see everyone for an evening of food, drinks and fiery fun! 🎆

🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️ If you’re local and able to walk, please do. Parking on site is limited, so arriving on foot where possible will really help things run smoothly.

🚧 Whether you are driving or arriving on foot, please follow the event signage, as there is no other access available.
