As we step into 2026, many people take a moment to reflect and set intentions for the year ahead. One of mine is to make the very best of the final teaching of the Chinese Herbal Medicine Certification Programme.

A wonderful group of dedicated practitioners is already enrolled, and I am looking forward to sharing my love for herbal medicine - and how to apply it with clarity, structure, and consistent clinical outcomes.

Chinese medicine is remarkably relevant in today’s clinical landscape. Yet its value can sometimes be obscured by the accumulation of multiple theories, fragmented frameworks, and the pressure to learn endless tools and techniques. I have long challenged this approach, as it risks diluting the medicine - and, ultimately, limiting what our patients can receive.

For this reason, my priority has always been to teach herbal medicine as a science: grounded in solid underlying principles, clear structure, and clinical rationale.

Six years ago, I designed my first Chinese Herbal Medicine training programme.

At that time, I didn’t want to create just another course to learn herbs - I wanted to build something different.

I wanted to teach herbal medicine not as a scholar, but as a practitioner - through a mentor-apprenticeship style, with clinical application at its heart.

Since then, more than 60 practitioners from the UK, Europe, Australia, and North America have completed the certification programme.

My goal has been achieved:

I can’t quite believe that the next round of my Chinese Herbal Medicine Certification Programme is starting in just a couple of months!
