We have been using social media for some time to showcase the amazing activities our staff and children do every day, as well as celebrating individual, nursery and group achievements.
After a careful review we have decided to rationalise our online presence, and as of 16th February all posts will only be shared on our ‘Complete Childcare Nurseries’ page on Facebook and Instagram, and ‘Nursery Jobs in Complete Childcare’ on Facebook.

The festive season is in full swing, and our little ones have been busy spreading cheer and creativity! From sparkly crafts and wintery sensory play to joyful songs and cosy story time, the nursery is glowing with Christmas spirit. 🎅🧁🎁

❄️ Snowy Adventures at Our Den @ Hillside! ❄️

Today our little explorers bundled up and headed outside to experience the magic of the snowfall! The children were so excited to see, touch, and explore the snow—turning our outdoor space into a sensory wonderland. ⛄✨

Learning in the Snow:
🌟 Sensory Exploration – Feeling the cold snow, watching it fall, and noticing how it melts in warm hands.
🌟 Language Development – Using new words like “cold,” “soft,” “snowflake,” and “crunch.”
🌟 Physical Development – Building coordination through walking on snowy ground, scooping snow, and making tiny snowballs.
🌟 Curiosity & Understanding of the World – Observing weather changes and discovering what happens when snow meets different surfaces.

Our little ones had such a joyful time, and it was wonderful to see them learning through play in real-time winter magic! ❄️💙

🌟 Children in Need Day at Our Den @ Hillside! 🌟

Today our little ones had a wonderful time taking part in Children in Need Day activities! 💛

🧸 Sticking Spots on Pudsey’s Bear
The children loved helping Pudsey get ready by adding colourful spots to his bear. This activity supported:
• Fine motor skills – using fingers and hands to peel and stick spots
• Colour recognition & early language – naming colours and talking about what they see
• Turn-taking & social interaction – working together on a shared activity

😴 Pyjama Day Fun
Our cosy PJ day helped the children feel comfortable and confident as they moved through the setting, encouraging:
• Emotional development – feeling safe, secure, and ready to explore
• Sense of belonging – being part of a special group day with friends

🍕 Creating Pudsey Pizzas for a Teddy Bear Tea Party
The children made their very own Pudsey-themed pizzas, then enjoyed a teddy bear tea party! This supported:
• Sensory exploration – touching, smelling, and exploring ingredients
• Early maths – counting toppings and noticing shapes
• Imaginative play – sharing pretend food with their teddies and friends

We’re so proud of how engaged and joyful the children were today. Thank you to all our families for supporting this special cause. 💛🐻✨
