What does nurture mean at Shere School?

At Shere School, nurture is at the heart of everything we do. As we work towards the Nurturing Schools Award, we’re committed to creating an environment where every child feels safe, valued, and ready to learn.

Our sister school, Clandon Primary, warmly invites the Shere School community to their festive Christmas Fair this Friday! Last year, many Shere families joined in the fun, and it was a fantastic way to celebrate together and enjoy the wonderful community spirit.

After months of unexpected delays, the Wilderness Forest School has opened its woodland gates once again. The children of Shere and Clandon were so relieved to be back amongst the trees—ready for hands-on learning, wild exploration, and curiosity-led discovery.

Their time away proved what we already knew: this forest is the most inspiring classroom they could ask for. They rushed in with bright smiles… and the forest welcomed them home. 🍃

Our sincere thanks to Shere Open Gardens - your hard work and generosity made this happen 🙏🏼 We could not have done this without you.

To Joe Court Forestry ltd who rescued us in our hour of need and did such a beautiful job 🪵

🌟 We had a magical time as we joined our community to see the Christmas lights illuminate the ever beautiful village of Shere! Our lantern parade was the highlight of the evening and was formed of children who attend Shere now and in years gone by. A new Shere School tradition has been added to our school story ❤️
