At Pogles Wood, our aim is to provide a place people of all ages can connect with and enjoy nature and the outdoors. Pogles Wood is a mixed native broadleaf woodland, in the heart of rural Dorset. We run a range of activities and courses for toddlers to adults. We are fortunate enough to be nestled in a beautiful part of Dorset, with a rich and diverse ecology, regularly spotted species at Pogles
include: barn owls, roe deer, heron, field mouse, slow worm, buzzards, badgers, to name but a few, and of course Moss our much loved dog! Our wetland area is teeming with life to explore, surrounded by wildflowers and trees. We have sheltered areas for rainy days, and our famous OzPig stove to keep us warm, and cook up some tasty treats! Our courses and events are centered around the ethos of connecting with wildlife and nature, rural skills, bushcraft and just enjoying being outdoors. We want everyone to understand the importance of the natural world and its conservation, and to nurture that innate desire we all have, to explore and experience our surroundings. We hope you will come and visit soon!
