We were delighted to host the Summer Training Camp for another year this August! 🏊‍♀️🤺🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️ We welcomed young athletes aged 9–18 of all abilities to develop their skills across the five disciplines of Modern Pentathlon: fencing, swimming, laser run, OCR and cycling.

At Leweston School, we support students at every stage of their Pentathlon journey, from beginners taking their first steps in the sport to athletes competing on the international stage. As an official Talent Hub, we’re proud to help athletes develop and reach their potential, whatever their ability or experience.

Led by Leweston’s highly experienced Head of Pentathlon, Mick Flaherty, our team of specialist coaches, many of whom are involved with the national squad, deliver a weekly onsite training programme alongside mentoring and support tailored to each athlete’s individual needs and goals.

🎉 Congratulations to Dominiqe, our 2025/26 Head Girl, on some truly outstanding A Level results!

Dominiqe achieved A in Biology, A in Chemistry, A in her EPQ and A in Maths — an incredible set of grades that reflect her hard work, dedication and the exceptional leadership she's shown throughout her time as Head Girl.
Having joined us in our Prep School and continued her studies all the way through to Sixth Form, Dominiqe's journey is a wonderful example of what a full Leweston education can offer.

But Dominiqe's talents don't end in the classroom. She has shone on stage in school productions including Six, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time and Come From Away and has impressed audiences with her singing talents as part of our school choir, Schola.

We're delighted that she will now be going on to study Dentistry in Romania, and we couldn't be prouder of everything she's achieved during her time at Leweston, on and off the stage.

🎉 Congratulations to our GCSE students on a fantastic set of results! 🎉

We are incredibly proud to celebrate our best overall GCSE results in five years, with almost half of all grades awarded at 9-7 (A*/A equivalent).

An impressive 13 subjects achieved their strongest results of the past three years, including Mathematics, English Language, English Literature, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. More than half of all subjects recorded over 50% of grades at 9-7, with outstanding performances in Business and Fine Art, where three-quarters of grades were 9-7, and Geography, where nearly 90% of entries achieved grades 9-7.

Special congratulations to Pennie, Ellie, Luigi, Ola, Harry and Robin, who together achieved an exceptional 55 grades at 9-7.

We are delighted to see our students progressing to an exciting range of Sixth Form subjects, including our very first cohort studying BTEC Engineering.

Well done to all our students and staff on this remarkable achievement! 🌟

🎨 Huge congratulations to Charlotte, Theo, Anastasiia and George on their fantastic Art A Level results!
Between them this talented group achieved 5 A*s, 3 As and a B across Fine Art, Textiles, Photography and 3D — a brilliant reflection of their creativity, dedication and hard work.

We're delighted that they are going on to study courses ranging from Costume, Fashion, Modelmaking and Animation Production at universities including Arts University Bournemouth and Kingston.

We can't wait to see where their creative journeys take them next. Well done all! 🖌️👏

Ahead of GCSE results day this Thursday, we are thinking particularly of the pupils who have worked hard, worried, laughed, changed their minds and grown considerably along the way. John Paget-Tomlinson, Headmaster, says, “A set of results can tell you something about what a pupil has achieved, but it cannot tell you who they are becoming; that is something we have had the privilege of seeing every day. We know this year group well, and we know they have the curiosity, determination and confidence to do great things.”

To all our GCSE students, good luck. We are proud of what you have achieved and excited to see what comes next. ✨

Results day isn't just about the grades, it's about the people who help you get there. 💙

Last week, we were delighted to welcome Antonia back to Leweston with her mum, brother and sister — both proud OAs themselves — to celebrate her brilliant AAB results. Antonia will be studying Psychology with a Professional Placement Year at Cardiff University. We loved hearing about her plans and catching up with her family as they begin this exciting next chapter.

It's moments like these that remind us what a Leweston education is really about — not just individual success, but the community and support network that carries our students through it, year after year, generation after generation.
