In June, our Fashion students presented their original collections on the runway, showcasing a diverse range of creative perspectives, innovative silhouettes and craftsmanship.

Each collection reflected an individual design identity, bringing together conceptual development, technical precision and an understanding of garment construction to create distinctive pieces 🪡

Now that exam moderation is complete, we’re pleased to share a closer look at the collections and celebrate the creative ambition, technical expertise and emerging talent of our student designers!

Last week our Music Scholars took to the stage for an evening of solo performances, demonstrating the musical ability, dedication and confidence that earning a Music Scholarship represents 👏

Being awarded a Music Scholarship 🎶 at Sherborne is a recognition of exceptional musical potential and commitment. Our Scholars play a leading role in the musical life at SG, developing their abilities through specialist tuition, mentoring, performance coaching and a wide range of musical opportunities 🎹

The concert offered an opportunity to recognise their achievements and the hard work behind each performance!

Congratulations to all who took part, and thank you to everyone who joined us.

A little reminder this World Mental Health Day 💛

Progress isn’t always about big achievements. Sometimes it’s in the little moments, the lessons we learn, the kindness we show ourselves and the courage it takes to ask for support.

Remember, you don’t have to have everything figured out. Take things at your own pace!

And, if you ever need someone to talk to, remember that there is always someone ready to listen. Whether it’s your HM, your pastoral team, the Health Centre or our Chaplaincy, there are always people here to support you, whatever is on your mind 😊

🌿🔬 Last week our U6 Biology pupils visited Nettlecombe Court to undertake two of their A Level Biology required practicals, gaining valuable experience in ecological fieldwork and scientific investigation.

The visit provided an opportunity to develop their understanding of fieldwork methodologies, refine practical skills in data collection and analysis, and apply biological principles in a real-world environment! 👏

🐎 In the spotlight!
 
We’re delighted to see our Lower Sixth pupil Charlotte featured in this month’s Sherborne Times, celebrating her achievements in eventing!
 
Charlotte’s passion for riding began at just three years old and continued to grow during her time at Hanford, where she developed a love for cross-country riding and competitive eventing.
 
In May, Charlotte and her grey Connemara pony, Ronnie, competed at the prestigious Badminton Grassroots Championships, an incredible achievement, made all the more impressive by the challenge of balancing her preparations with GCSE revision!
 
It’s fantastic to see Charlotte’s dedication and talent recognised, and we look forward to following her continued success as she progresses through Sherborne Girls and beyond!
