'Experience Leweston' takes place this Friday, 19 June from 1pm.

We’re looking forward to welcoming families for an afternoon of activities and exploration — from equestrian and Modern Pentathlon to classroom experiences and boarding house tours.

⭐ Just 10 days to go until 'Experience Leweston' ⭐

On 19 June, we’re opening the school for a relaxed and engaging activity afternoon for families exploring options from Prep through to Sixth Form.

You’ll have the chance to experience a wide range of activities — including equestrian, Modern Pentathlon, music and science — as well as tour the boarding houses and speak directly with the staff and pupils who know Leweston best.

It’s an informal opportunity to get a genuine feel for school life, whatever stage you’re considering.

A celebration of Jan Hopkin’s life will be held at The Sherborne, Sherborne House, Newland, Sherborne DT9 3JG on Saturday 4th July at 11am.
This will be an informal gathering with drinks, canapés, and tributes from the family as we remember Jan together.
All who knew and loved Jan are warmly welcome to attend.

Something a little different is happening at Leweston on 19 June.

'Experience Leweston' is a free open afternoon for families interested in Leweston - a chance to spend a few hours in school, see the grounds, meet some of our pupils and staff, and get a real feel for life here.

It is with great sadness that we share the news that Jan Hopkin, long-serving teacher of Geography and Politics at Leweston, has passed away at home following a battle with cancer.

Jan was a much-valued member of the Leweston community for more than 20 years and will be remembered by generations of pupils, parents and colleagues for her dedication, warmth, and passion for teaching.

We know that many former students and staff will remember her very fondly and will be saddened by this news.

Our thoughts are with Jan’s family and friends at this difficult time.

An unforgettable week of creativity, generosity and leadership 💙 From Crazy Hair Day and themed dress‑up events to bake sales, house competitions, staff‑student challenges and a demanding 24‑hour Sportathon, our Year 13 students delivered a hugely successful Charity Week in support of Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY).
