On Monday, Gryphon class had a wonderful time taking part in Carymoor's 'Day at the Dump' programme. They toured the site to see how waste is managed, learned about recycling and sustainability and even created kites from recycled plastic bread bags! 🪁
The visit was packed with hands-on learning and helped bring the importance of the 3 Rs – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle – to life. The children were enthusiastic, engaged and a credit to our school throughout the day.

Gryphon class have finished their Islamic inspired tiles. They are beautiful. Once they are properly dry they will come home. They worked carefully to choose shapes and layer them. Then they worked out which colours they wanted to paint them.

Gryphon class have been being electrical engineers and made doors that sound an alarm when they close. Some children investigated what happens to the brightness of a bulb when you add more bulbs into a series circuit. We measured the brightness using a lux meter and found out that the more bulbs you add the dimmer the light.

Red Weather Warning update: Due to the Red Weather warning for the next few days, we have taken the decision to close at 12.30pm tomorrow (Tuesday) and remain closed all day on Wednesday and Thursday during the red warning period. School will re-open as normal on Friday, unless there is any change.
Pupils will have an earlier lunch in school tomorrow.
