The Role
We are seeking a passionate and committed Level 3 or level 2 qualified Playgroup Practitioner to join our team. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality early years education and care, ensuring every child feels valued and supported.

Key Responsibilities

· Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework

· Support children’s learning and development through play

· Observe, assess, and record children’s progress

· Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues

· Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating environment at all times

· Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and setting policies and procedures

Requirements

· Full and relevant Level 3 or 2 qualification in Early Years/Childcare

· Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework

· Experience working with children aged 0–5 years

· Strong communication and teamwork skills

· A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach

Desirable

· Paediatric First Aid certificate

· Experience working in a playgroup or nursery setting

We're thrilled to announce that the new butterflies playground is now open! A massive thank you to everyone for your generous donations and support, which have allowed us to transform the area. This enhancement will make playtime even more enjoyable for our children!

We are thrilled to announce that the new playground, featuring updated flooring and a shelter on the Caterpillar side of the building, is now complete! It looks fantastic, and I am confident that all the children will enjoy playing there.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to both current and former parents, carers, children, and extended family members for your generous fundraising efforts and donations over the years.

Thanks to these fundraising activities, we can continue to enhance, provide, and promote an exceptional environment for all the children to enjoy.

St Winefride’s Playgroup has a vacancy for a part-time Playgroup Practitioner to work 16 hours per week term time only with immediate effect.

Applicants need a Level 3 childcare qualification, excellent organisation skills and experience of working as a team in a busy setting.

Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum is essential, along with the ability to be flexible with your working practice.

Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 9.00 till 12.00 term time only.
