Hi everyone! My name is Gabriella, and I’m really excited to be joining the team. I’m a Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner and have over 5 years of experience working in childcare.

I’m a very bubbly, friendly and caring person who loves creating fun and meaningful experiences for children. I really enjoy getting involved in activities, supporting children’s development and building positive relationships with both the children and their families.

I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone, settling into the nursery and becoming part of the team. I can’t wait to meet you all! 💕

THE GARDEN HAD ITS OWN ECLIPSE 🌞🌑

Today, the Moon moved across the Sun and the UK witnessed one of the most striking partial eclipses in years.

But looking back at these garden photographs, it feels as though the shadows had been practising all along.

A colander turned sunlight into crescent shapes.
The fence became a canvas.
A yellow dustpan became an unlikely prop.
And ordinary garden moments suddenly felt wonderfully cosmic.

The eclipse may have passed, but the reminder remains: look closely. Magic is often hiding in the shadows.

Never look directly at the Sun without proper certified protection. ✨

Community is more than a place. It is a promise.

Today, our children explored the old school field in Shepreth.

To many, it is simply a patch of grass.

To a child, it is possibility.

It is where feet learn to run freely, where imaginations stretch further than fences, and where curiosity is not directed but discovered.

As an early years setting, we often speak about the environment as the third teacher. Yet some of the richest classrooms have no walls at all.

This field reminds us that education belongs within a community, not behind closed doors.

Every time a local organisation, neighbour or community group opens a gate, lends a space or says, “You’re welcome here,” they send a powerful message to our youngest citizens:

You belong.

These moments cannot be measured by assessments or learning outcomes alone. They build something far more enduring—a sense of identity, connection and stewardship.

The children who play here today are the adults who will care for this community tomorrow.

Thank you to everyone who continues to share spaces, time and trust with Happy Bunnies Nursery School. Together, we are showing our children that community is not something we inherit.

It is something we create, together, one shared space at a time. 🌿💛

Recent collaborations that remind us what community really looks like.

At Happy Bunnies, we often talk about the importance of relationships. Not just the ones between children and educators, but the relationships that connect an entire community.

Our recent Preschool Growth Ceremony was made even more special thanks to two wonderful local organisations.

A huge thank you to Sarah and the team at The Blackbirds Nest mobile coffee shop for providing delicious cakes and much-needed cold drinks on such a warm afternoon. It was a simple gesture that helped families slow down, chat, reflect and celebrate together.

We’re also incredibly grateful to for allowing us to use the Old School Field once again. The space has become the perfect setting for this annual tradition—a place where children can celebrate the end of one chapter while taking their first steps towards the next.

These collaborations matter.

They remind our children that they belong to something bigger than a nursery. They show them what happens when local people, local businesses and local organisations come together with a shared purpose: creating meaningful experiences for families.

It truly takes a village to raise a child.

Thank you for being part of ours. 💚

Last week, we said goodbye to our Bluebells.

They were the first group of children to join Happy Bunnies under my leadership, and because of that, they will always hold a special place in our story.

Loris Malaguzzi wrote:

“Our task, regarding creativity, is to help children climb their own mountains, as high as possible. No one can do more.”

Over the years, we’ve watched these children climb so many mountains—finding friendships, building confidence, discovering their voices and believing, “I can do this.”

In return, they reminded us what childhood is truly about: curiosity, muddy hands, endless questions, imagination and joy.

To every family, thank you for trusting us with your children’s earliest years. It has been a privilege we have never taken lightly.

And to our Bluebells, as you begin your next adventure, never lose your curiosity, your kindness or your sense of wonder.

You weren’t just the first children to join Happy Bunnies under my leadership.

You helped shape the nursery we are today.

Thank you for changing us. We couldn’t be prouder. 💙🐰
