Halliford School

Halliford School A thriving HMC Independent Day School based in Shepperton for Boys 11-18 and Girls 16-18. Every pupil becomes a member of a house.

Awarded a ‘Significant Strength for Pupil Leadership' by ISI in November 2025. Halliford is a warm and friendly place where
children settle quickly and make friends easily. The strong emphasis on fostering respect for
others leads to considerate behaviour and allows
discipline to be managed with a light touch. The commitment of the staff, the care taken to
understand the needs of each pupil and the close
relationship between the School and parents
combine to create a supportive environment in
which children flourish. The
four houses provide an extra layer of pastoral
care and the focus for a wide range of
competitive activities. Specialist tutors introduce each new generation
of Hallifordians into the ethos, values and
routines of the School. In their second year,
pupils are assigned a new tutor who will stay with
them until they have completed their GCSE
examinations in Year 11. Sixth Formers are also looked after by specialist
tutors who have the experience to give sound
advice about university entrance and career
choices. Halliford’s Visiting Chaplain is the Rector of
Shepperton. There is also a qualified School
Counsellor and a full time Matron. The School’s own catering team take pride in
serving high quality, well-balanced and nutritious
meals which cater for almost all dietary needs.

Meet our Prefect team for the academic year 2026-27.

Awarded an ISI Significant Strength for Pupil Leadership in our most recent inspection, Halliford is an incredible community to belong to which allows our students to make a significant contribution to Halliford school life.

Our Harvest Festival is now underway! 🌾

This week’s Monday Assembly launched our Harvest Festival, encouraging students to support a range of wonderful causes, including Dementia UK, Holly’s Heroes and other local charities.

Students also heard about upcoming fundraising initiatives, including Movember, as we continue to champion service, compassion and community spirit. We look forward to seeing this year's donations come in and hope to surpass last year's fantastic total of 28 boxes of everyday essentials and a wide variety of food.

A packed Sixth Form Open Evening!

It was a pleasure to welcome so many prospective students and parents to our school, giving them the opportunity to experience the vibrant and supportive Sixth Form community that makes Halliford so special.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We were delighted by the incredible turnout, the warm atmosphere throughout the evening, and the many positive conversations and comments from families.

This week, we hosted two wonderful evenings of creativity and conversation at our PTA Sip & Paint events!

Parents in Year 7 and Year 9 enjoyed the opportunity to unwind, express their artistic talents, and connect with fellow members of the Halliford community in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

A huge thank you to our fantastic PTA, and especially to parent and talented artist Mrs Linch, for hosting the evenings and expertly guiding everyone through the creative process. We look forward to many more PTA events in the coming year.
