This week….24th February 2023
Lots of discussion this week at Springtime. At group time, we talked about pancakes, ingredients, lemon, syrup, and sugar toppings and got to try them. We also discussed how we used all our senses today -smell, taste, seeing, feel and hearing.
The children enjoyed group snacks and we had pancakes with our fruit.
They had a go at tossing a real pancake in a small frying pan.(cold)
We used the left-over lemons to print using yellow paint.
Talked about how we must clean our teeth after eating sugary foods. Which lead the children to talking about their experiences when visiting the dentist…all positive!!
We learnt a new rhyme about making a pancake, cooking the pancake, tossing the pancake, catch it …if you can.
We coloured pictures of pancakes stacked high and a person tossing a pancake in a pan.
