This week we have been exploring our nursery environment inside and outside carrying out activities around the theme of numbers blocks. The children had the opportunity to take part in our tuff tray around the theme of number blocks along with different number block themed activities. They have enjoyed using dabbers to decorate their own number blocks along with exploring the number block themed tuff trays.

This week, the children explored the theme of families through a variety of engaging activities. They enjoyed creating family characters, sorting houses, people, and animals, and making pebble families while talking about the people who live in their homes.

The children also explored their identities through self-portraits, using mirrors to look at their facial features and developing their confidence, creativity, communication, and fine motor skills. They took part in counting activities, colouring, family snap, and family puzzles, supporting their early mathematical and language development.

We have had such a lovely week at Cygnets, welcoming back our returning children and getting to know our new little ones. The children have really enjoyed spending time outdoors — exploring, playing and settling back into familiar routines with confidence and smiles.

It’s so lovely to see a few of our Cygnets children popping back to visit us in their new school uniforms!

We absolutely love seeing how much they’ve grown and hearing all about their adventures at their new schools. It makes us so proud to see them looking so grown up! 🥰🎒✨

Once a Cygnet, always a Cygnet! 🦢💙

🌟 A little update regarding access to Cygnets…

There has already been a change to the access arrangements, as the ramp to the hall has now been removed. The entrance to Cygnets is currently to the far right by the fence and steps.

As the platform entrance has been reduced, we have put up a gazebo so that parents and children can stay dry while waiting. ☔️

We are very sorry for the inconvenience. The ramp area was originally meant to be the last part of the work to be completed, but it has already been removed, so unfortunately this change has happened sooner than expected.

The work is expected to take around 6 weeks, and during this time there will be building materials and machinery around the entrance.

Please take extra care when access the entrance.
Thank you for your patience.

A little update regarding access to Cygnets…

The replacement walkway works have FINALLY started today! 🥳 After two years, we are so excited to see things finally getting underway!

The work is expected to take around 6 weeks, and during this time there will be building materials and machinery by the hall.

For everyone’s safety, please take extra care when walking from the car park to the entrance and please don’t let children run ahead or wander off. We want to make sure everyone stays safe while the work is taking place. ❤️

The car park has also temporarily lost a few spaces due to the building materials, so you may need to wait for parents to leave before you can park.

We will keep you updated each week with progress and let you know how things are coming along.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause but soon we will have a working walkway 🎉
