We loved welcoming pupils from local school to watch the show - they were an absolute joy.
It was the cast’s first performance in front of an audience and the pupil’s and teacher’s cheers, whoops, and enthusiasm gave everyone such a boost of confidence.

Last week’s performance was truly a dream – our cast shone in full technicolour, looking handsome and smart – walking works of art! 🎭
Every single child was incredible. The teamwork, dedication, bravery and talent on that stage were simply outstanding 💫
As we approach the end of their journey at Manor Lodge, we know this is a moment they will remember for years to come 💛

🌳Being outdoors, understanding how things grow, and getting your hands dirty is at the heart of the Manor Lodge ethos.
🥳It builds problem-solving abilities, teamwork and critical thinking – but most importantly, it’s fun!
🪴The children have been hard at work in our school’s own allotment weeding and removing some extraordinarily large slugs!
🫛They harvested a bumper crop of mange tout, now proudly on display at Café@TheLodge alongside our radishes, spinach and spring flowers - all sown, grown and harvested by our pupils.

📵At Manor Lodge, we’ve been proudly smartphone-free since 2025 — tackling excessive screen time head-on.
💻However, we’re not anti-tech; our specialist teachers champion purposeful IT, using technology to inspire, not distract.
🤖From dismantling motherboards to coding with Bee-Bots and Sphero robots, our pupils explore, experiment, and learn through hands-on discovery — with plenty of curiosity, laughter, and awe along the way.

Just before half term, we hosted a lovely event at our very own Café@theLodge ☕
Miss Strachan, our fantastic librarian, shared some brilliant tips and answered lots of questions - helping parents inspire a real love of reading in their children 📖
It was such a relaxed and insightful session, made even better with delicious drinks and snacks.🥐
We’ve got plenty more sessions coming up at the Café… so keep your eyes peeled 👀!

☀️ We hope you’re all having a wonderful half term and staying cool in the sunshine!
🍦Why not grab an ice cream and take a moment to enjoy some of the fantastic artwork our children have created?
🎨 Creativity is at the heart of Manor Lodge. We believe it’s essential for learning, self-expression and wellbeing.
🎶Our pupils work in a bright, light-filled art studio, with calming music playing in the background – a peaceful, inspiring space away from the bustle of the school day.
👩🎨They are guided by specialist, passionate art teachers who support and encourage them every step of the way as they create.
✨The standard of their work is simply incredible, and we can’t wait to see what they create next!
📣Over the last two weeks, our school has been buzzing with democracy in action. Campaign posters were everywhere, speeches were made, and today the children cast their votes!
Involving pupils in decision-making and championing pupil voice creates meaningful change and better academic outcomes, as well as facilitating a sense of empowerment and inclusion.
🗳️Everyone truly got to experience Democracy in Action.
🏅A huge congratulations to our winners, and an even bigger thank you to everyone who stood for election. Putting yourself forward takes serious courage.
