⚽️ Looking smart and ready for action! ⚽️
We are delighted to unveil our brand-new football shirts. A huge thank you to Whittaker Plant Hire Ltd for their generous sponsorship and support of our school.
The children are incredibly proud to wear the new kit and represent our school. We can't wait to see them on the pitch next season!

On Thursday, our Year 6 pupils enjoyed a valuable trip to Crucial Crew, where they took part in a range of interactive workshops on their filmset-like street scene. This visit is designed to teach important life lessons and practical skills, such as water and road safety. As our children prepare for the move to Year 7, the experience provided them with the knowledge and confidence to become increasingly independent and responsible young people. We were incredibly proud of the excellent behaviour, maturity and engagement shown by all of our pupils throughout the day, which demonstrated just how ready they are for the next stage of their education

Sports betting has become increasingly visible online, appearing across apps, websites, social media, sports coverage and gaming spaces.
Even when young people are not legally old enough to gamble, they may still encounter betting messages through adverts, influencers, tipsters, friends or adult accounts.
Our latest guide highlights key risks, including:
• Easy online access
• Gambling becoming normalised around sport
• Peer and influencer pressure
• Free bet offers
• Impulsive spending and chasing losses
It also offers practical advice for parents, carers and educators on starting calm conversations, setting safer digital boundaries, spotting warning signs and finding support.

Our visit to the Houses of Parliament was most certainly worth the very early start last Thursday!
It was so lovely to meet students from Stocksbridge Junior School in Parliament earlier this week!
Two groups from the school received a tour of the Houses of Parliament. They got to put some of their learnings in action during a Q&A session with me, where they ‘bobbed’ like we have to do in the Chamber to ask a question. It’s always great to share with our young people about how I work to represent our communities across Pen*stone and Stocksbridge as your MP.
Visiting Parliament is a great way to learn about democracy at its heart in Westminster. If you’re a state school, home educator, or school group, you’re eligible book a free tour and workshop of Parliament. To find out more, get in touch with me at [email protected].
I’m looking forward to organising a visit to the school soon – hopefully I’ll be seeing some familiar faces!

A spin on the London Eye never fails to fascinate even the most nervous of passengers! We were especially grateful that the rainstorm held off just long enough for us to buy souvenirs and hop back on the coach! ⛈️🎡⛈️
