Congratulations to everyone at Fountaindale School on achieving the UNICEF UK Gold Rights Respecting Award!

This prestigious recognition celebrates the school's commitment to embedding children's rights throughout its culture, curriculum and daily practice. Building on its Silver Award in 2023, Fountaindale is the only school in Nottinghamshire to achieve Gold status in the last three years. 💛

Ben Norman, Headteacher, said: "We are thrilled to have been awarded the Gold Rights Respecting Award from UNICEF UK. We have noticed a positive impact on our pupils' confidence and their knowledge of social justice and children's rights thanks to this work. We are incredibly proud of our work as a school towards this accreditation and look forward to retaining our Gold status for years to come."

In summer, more than 100 Yorkshire contractors gathered with representatives from our Trust at our Hilltop School to say thank you for their part in a remarkable £3million transformation.

Delivered through Yorkshire Children's Charity's Great Yorkshire Build, the project, with an incredible £2.2million donated pro bono, is creating new classrooms, staff spaces and a purpose-built rebound therapy centre.

Warren Carratt, CEO, said:
"We're delighted to celebrate this significant investment in Hilltop School. At Nexus MAT, we want every child and young person to have the opportunity to learn and thrive. We're so grateful to Yorkshire Children's Charity and all the partners who have contributed to the project."

Looking back on a proud moment from last academic year 🏆

Our Bents Green School celebrated re-accreditation from Trauma Informed Schools UK, recognising its outstanding commitment to helping pupils feel safe, understood and ready to learn.

Head of School Elena Drayson said: "Creating a school where pupils feel safe, understood and able to succeed is something we never lose sight of. We couldn't do this without the trust and support of our families, and our staff show incredible care and commitment every day."

Welcome back to Nexus Multi Academy Trust!

This year is especially exciting as we welcome two new schools into the Nexus family: Stubbin Wood School and Willow Park School. We're proud to have you join us and we look forward to all that we'll achieve together.

As we look ahead to a new academic year, we're reflecting on some of the fantastic achievements from last year.

🏅 We were proud to see our Lotus Academy, Sheffield, receive the Physical Literacy in PESSPA (PE, School Sport and Physical Activity) Award at the Sheffield Schools Get Active Awards, recognising their commitment to inclusive sport and physical activity for all students.

From mountain biking and boxing to swimming, ice skating and abseiling, our students are always encouraged to build confidence, develop new skills and discover activities they enjoy.

A huge well done to everyone who helped make this achievement possible. 👏

Another fantastic event as part of our 10th anniversary celebrations.

Nexus Sports Day held at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield! 🏃‍♀️🏅🏃‍♂️

Pupils and staff had an amazing time taking part, cheering each other on, and creating memories together. The energy, enthusiasm and team spirit on display made for a truly special day.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in organising the event and, most importantly, to our wonderful pupils for making the day such a success. 💙
