We're proud to announce that Professor Eleanor Davies is our new Interim Dean!

Previously Associate Dean for Education here at Sheffield, Eleanor is stepping into the role bringing a wealth of expertise from her 25 years’ in higher education and professional practice, and a commitment to the school’s continuing development and success. Eleanor will continue to drive the school’s vision for the future focusing on its three themes of the management of cities, healthcare, and the future of work, alongside leadership of the school’s education and curriculum strategies.

In March, we held another CLEAR IDEAS workshop in Sheffield; a big thank you to Sheffield Theatres for hosting us at The Crucible!

Led by Kamal Birdi and supported by Sarah Stanley, we were joined by 12 attendees, representing 11 organisations - a fantastic mix of SMEs, third sector and public sector organisations.

The workshop was a great success and attendees were equipped with skills to generate and implement new creative ideas and solutions.

We've had a great time running our series of CLEAR IDEAS across South Yorkshire. We look forward to reviewing this workshop and considering what might be next for CLEAR IDEAS. Keep your eyes peeled for updates about further workshops!

The People, Technology and Productivity across Yorkshire, the Humber and North East event is taking place in Sheffield on 29 April. This event is part of ’s running from 27 April to 1 May.

Designed to bring together business leaders, policymakers and academics, this event will discuss the challenges and opportunities that and advances present to jobs, skills and productivity. Participants will also explore how employers are engaging with initiatives to help individuals enter and remain in employment, and the steps they are taking to develop more inclusive employment practices. Chancellor of and Ex-Chief Economist of the Bank of England, Professor Andy Haldane, will be the keynote speaker. Sign up ⬇
