📻 I was on BBC Radio Sheffield last week, and it all started with a first-time creative who came along to one of my art events, Tortoise Life Drawing. Bonkers right? Obviously my avant-garde idea wasn’t so 🤪

She enjoyed it so much she mentioned it to a presenter on the station. Next thing I knew, I was being invited for a chat. 🎨

What I talked about is what I care about most: art doesn’t have to be rushed, suitable for total beginners, small groups and affordable.

If you’re a beginner, or you like to go at a slower pace, you don’t need to master everything in one night. Come along, build your skills gradually, and enjoy the process.

No pressure, no experience needed, just good company, support, non-judgement and a creative evening.

THANK YOU to everyone who has come along so far. You’re the reason this happened. 🥰 I started in 2024 and it as been a uphill struggle to create a rapour with beginners. That my events are a safe place for them to develop their creativity.

There is worse ways to spend a Monday evening. Believe you me. That is why I started the Monday Heeley Art Social to get me off the sofa, stop binge watching Netflix and do something for the community , creatively and share my teaching knowledge.

I showed the END first but the BEGINNING and MIDDLE is the most important part of tutoring beginner artist so they can freely explore their creativity independently. 😍 Blooming lovely results.

Next HEELEY ART SOCIAL -Monday 26th October
6.30-8pm. Sketching black and white spiderweb webs using different tonal shades. You can add a spider to the web if it doesn't creep you out.

Do you love a Tortoise as much as I do? If YES, then come and join me for an intimate Life Drawing event with Raspberry and Charlie (Tortoises).

No drawing experience required just the enthusiasm to learn and experiment with different mediums through a range of guided prompts.

The atmosphere will be relaxed, friendly and non-judmental. I will also be on hand to help during the event.

No guarantees they will pose for a long period of time but I am confident they will move slower than any other animals I have worked with at similar events.

£10 per person ( 8 SPACES ONLY)

An amazing crowd of fab attendees at created some fantastic flower hair accessories. 🌼🌸🏵Thank you to Livia for accepting my offer to help at her fantastic, vibrant event. Thoroughly enjoyed myself, the atmosphere and the buzz that "hands on teaching" does work Thoroughly exhausted now but in a good way.
