Friends of St Josephs PTA We are the Friends of St Josephs PTA and we have created our page to help keep you up to date Welcome to The Friends of St Josephs page.

We are a group of parents, carers and teachers who all work together with one aim, to put together fun activities and fundraising events to provide equipment and events to benefit the children who attend the school. We organise various events throughout the school year including Movie Nights, School Discos, A Christmas Craft Day, Quiz & BBQ not to mention our annual Summer Fayre. We meet up several times a year to put together our events and discuss new ideas. New helpers and volunteers are always welcome to join the group, muck in at the events or just find out more about the group and what we do, if you would like to get involved look out for our next meeting date (usually in an evening over a glass of wine or a pint) the details will be posted on our page, on Twitter at https://twitter.com/StJoeHandsworth or send us an email to [email protected]

Tracey has been employed by the school to run our Wraparound Care provision. During breakfast club she will have a school TA with her and afterschool Cara from Sheffield Wednesday will support the club.

Bookings are live for the whole school year for our Wraparound Care.

Breakfast club from 8am- £4 including breakfast
Afterschool 3:15 to 6pm £10
Afterschool following a school run club 4:15 - 6pm £6
If you only need the first hour you may also book 3:15 to 4:15 for £4.

You may collect your child at any time within your booked session however the full payment is still required.

Eligibility for FSM has now changed!
If you think you may be eligible you ask the school office for a paper form to complete and return to school for us to apply on your behalf.

Any family who the council have confirmed with us are already eligible have now been updated for you to order your child’s FSM. The list is updated regularly with us so we will keep you updated if your confirmed as a new eligible claim.

The PTA raised an incredible £6000 at this year's summer fair.

A massive thank you to everyone who donated to our stalls, volunteered behind the scenes, on the day and to everyone that came on the Sunday.
Without you it would never have been such an incredible success.

Thank you all so much

We've already purchased two sheds for the new PE equipment
Arranged for the carpets in Reception and Year 1 to be professionally cleaned and
the ice cream van came into the school grounds yesterday with the children getting to pick their own ice cream or lollies.

The PTA haven't made any further decisions about spending at this stage.

We will let you know when the AGM is planned for. Everyone is welcome to come to find out more about us, contribute ideas for future events and and hopefully join us. There are lots of different ways to help out with no pressure to join.

We would be incredibly grateful for any contributions, for these stalls:
• Plants
• Books
• Toys
• Your full Jam Jars for the tombola

Please bring in your donations for the Cake Stall and International Food Stall ideally on Sunday morning if they are fresh as we'll struggle to store them.

It's not too late to get involved for an hour on a stall - please send a message or contact the school office if you'd like to help

Don’t forget to bring back your sold and unsold raffle tickets to the school office or bring them with you on Sunday!!

🌟 Less than a week until the Summer Fair!!! Fingers crossed the weather will be good to us.

Thank you to everyone who has donated bottles and bought raffle tickets, if this is anything to go by Sunday will be amazing.

Friday 3rd (this Friday) please bring in your donations of toys, tombola, plants etc. to school.

Cake donations ideally brought in on the Sunday morning. But please message us or school if you need to drop them off sooner.

Thank you in advance to our helpers (we could do with a few more if you're interested) you'll all get a voucher for either a free burger or pint/glass of w**e as a thank you 😘

Please come and support us, we've worked really hard to make sure the Summer Fair is an amazing fun filled day to support our school ❤️

How are you getting on saving your jam jar, sauce jars etc.??

If you could give them a rinse and then start filling them back up with everything from pegs, cotton wool balls to toys and sweets that would be fantastic. We’ll be having a Jam Jar stall at the fair where each jar will have a raffle ticket number ending with either ‘0’ or ‘5’ stuck to it. All of the raffle tickets are put into a bowl and if you pick out a number ending in a ‘0’ or ‘5' you win that jar!

Please can the full jars be brought into school on FRIDAY 3rd JULY - thanks.

There are plenty of empty jars at the school office if you'd like some to fill up.

We’re still looking for more helpers to make the fair an amazing day for everyone. If you can spare an hour or two to either help set up on the Saturday or Sunday morning and cover a stall at the fair, we’d be really grateful.

Don’t forget to bring back your sold and unsold raffle tickets to the school office!!

🍾 Donations Needed for our Summer Fair! 🍾

We're looking for donations for some of our most popular stalls. We would be incredibly grateful for any contributions, including:

🍷 W**e
🥂 Prosecco
🍺 B**r
🥤 Non-alcoholic drinks such as water, pop or fruit juices
🎁 Raffle prizes

Please send your donation into school with your child on FRIDAY 19th JUNE or FRIDAY 26th JUNE only, as the school has limited storage space.

All other donations for the cake stall, international food, plants, nearly new toys, books and tombola items to be brought into school in on FRIDAY the 3rd JULY.

🎉 As a thank you for your support, any child who brings in a bottle donation can come to school in non-uniform on Friday 26th June.

We’re still looking for more helpers to make the fair an amazing day for everyone. If you can spare an hour or two to either help set up on the Saturday or Sunday morning and cover a stall at the fair, we’d be really grateful.
