Dear Parents and Carers,
Thank you so much for all your enthusiasm and support for our upcoming Cultural Afternoon (27th November)– it’s been fantastic to see how excited everyone is already!
We’re really pleased to let you know that we’ve managed to team up with a local publisher to create our very own St Joseph’s Recipe Book. The books will be £10 each and, with a bit of luck, will be ready just in time for Christmas – a lovely keepsake or gift!
Because we’re working to a tight deadline, we’d love to include as many of your wonderful recipes as possible. If you’d like to take part, please email your special recipe to [email protected] by the end of this week.
When you send it, please also include:
🍴 A photo of you and your children
🌍 The country your dish comes from
Thank you again for being such a big part of this project – we can’t wait to see (and taste!) all the delicious dishes that represent our amazing school community.
School Recipe Book

Cultural Food Extravaganza
(planned for 27th Nov 2025)
Dear Parents/Carers,
As you know, we’re celebrating our 150th Anniversary.
One of the things that makes our school really special is the rich mix of cultures and backgrounds in our community. We want to celebrate this, before the rush of Advent and Christmas, school are going to have a day of celebration, sharing different national dishes and celebrating all the different cultures. In the school we have 22 of them!
if you can’t make it to school on the day, but could cook something instead. Could you please email school with what you can cook and the country it represents and bring it on the day. If you could let school know as soon as possible and they would need a list of ingredients you will be using.
The next meeting is planned on the 20th Nov at 14:30.
We want to have loads of food for both the kids to enjoy tasting/sampling and then the parents to join later on.
Would anyone be able to make any dishes that we could share?
If you aren't able to participate on the day, could you make something and bring it to school in the morning?
If Yes, please email school with what you can cook, the country it represents and school need a list of ingredients (for allergies)
We’d really love your help with this! If you’d like to cook and share food from your culture, please come along to our next meeting.

**Cakes for sale **
If anyone has a spare 50p please bring it to school to buy a cake, they will be on sale before school.
All funds are going to one of our families who are raising money for a family member diagnosed with a life limiting brain tumour.
Huge thank you to Local dance school Funky Dance Fever (where numerous pupils attend) who held a 3 hour danceathon on Sunday to raise money and have some cakes leftover.
