Founded in 1969, we are the first and oldest Aikido club in South Yorkshire. Classes are Tuesday 7-9pm and Thursdays 8-10pm.

We practice the Tomiki style of Aikido and are based on the outskirts of Sheffield. The Kenshinkan Aikido Club is based at the Coldwell Lane Youth District Trust, Coldwell Lane in Sheffield. Classes are beginners to black belt and everyone is welcome. Instructors:

Matsushita Saburo Passed Away 21/04/2020

With great sadness comes the announcement of the death of Matsush*ta Saburo on the 19th April 2020. The 84 year old was a director at the Kodokan and sadly passed away due to Covid 19 related pneumonia.

Matsush*ta Saburo Passed Away We are deeply saddened to announce that Matsush*ta Saburo, a member of the board of directors of the Kodokan institute and ninth dan in Kodokan Judo, passed away on April 19, 2020 of pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus. He was 84.

Many thanks to the staff and volunteers at Mosborough primary school for giving us the time to demonstrate our Aikido last Saturday. Over £4,000 raised for a really good cause and happy to help. A big well done to all the performers on the day who managed to keep their cool on an absolute scorcher ☀️☀️☀️
