200 miles, 3 days, over 15,000 ft of hills 🤯🚴

The Sheffield Amateur Hour, a cycling group made up of Jamie, Neil, Pat, Richard and Graeme, have just completed the Lakes and Dales Loop, starting and finishing in Penrith, to raise funds for the Sheffield Institute for Translational Neuroscience 💜.

Their challenge is helping support research into devastating conditions including MND, Parkinson’s and dementia.

Welcome back, Classes of 1961, 1966, and 1976! 💜

More than 130 alumni and guests came back to Sheffield to celebrate a big milestone: the anniversary of their graduation! 🎓 Some even travelled all the way from Australia ✈️🌏

Fellow alumni were excited to tour the campus they once called home, revisit favourite food spots in the city, catch up with longtime friends, and hear the latest from the University. They also heard from second-year economics student and volunteer Marrisa Law and Dr Jennifer MacRitchie, who shared her pioneering research exploring the relationship between music and dementia 🎶

We hope you had a wonderful time and that we’ll see you back in Sheffield again soon!
