Nothing is going to waste here. Last week, I saved satsuma skins and used them for doing some dyeing and eco printing. It gave a very delicate colour which was quite nice.

I think I am going to make some kind of sampler.

I'm off to see my Chinese ladies today. I'm hoping to see some completed skirts today.

First stage of a new ironing board cover. This is for a repeat customer. He very kindly sent a paper template of the top of his board so I could confirm I'd found the right pattern. I've now added his details and notated seam allowance, so I know for sure next time. I just have to add the channel for the cord. Hopefully, I can do that between classes today.

Would you go for a plain or patterned fabric for your ironing board?

Someone has been watching me! It's very disconcerting when the faces appear before they're finished. He'll look much better once he's fattened up a bit

Here's a photo of the biscournus made by the ladies in the Chinese hand sewing class. These are both sides as each side is different, and it's lovely to see them made using the fabric I have dyed.

They're now going to do the Chinese inspired embroidery, so I suppose I should get mine finished.

I know it's short notice, but I'm going to do an online sewing/crafting/chat group this afternoon. Hopefully, they will become more regular, but I'm starting with once a month on the first Sunday of the month. You can join me from 3-4. It's been a week of rationing physical resources, but community classes have still been taking place. I love my Thursday class with my Chinese ladies. Their enthusiasm and joy in class are a real tonic
