The Sheffield Judo Club

It is with the deepest sadness that we share the sad news that Eric Theaker has recently passed away.
Eric was key to tirelessly keeping both the Sheffield Judo Club and The Steel City judo club running seamlessly for many years both on the committee and every night the club was open.
Eric was the figure head for both clubs and also our voice in the Yorkshire and Humberside area keeping us up to date and relivent in the wider area. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him and we offer our condolences to his family and friends

A big thanks to everyone that attended Wednesday night to support Lawrence Pritchards Movember fund raising evening

This Wednesday the 26th of November Lawrence Pritchard will be returning for one night only to share his many years of knowledge as both a competitive fighter and a coach. It will be an open mat so everybody will be welcome. All mat fees will be donated to the Movember global charity which is focused on improving men's health by raising funds and awareness for projects tackling prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health, and su***de prevention.
Hope we can count on everyone's support to make the evening a great success.

We will be having a committee meeting on the Wednesday 22nd of October to receive the names of any club members and members guardians that would like to be nominated for the position of Club chairman

Our current club chairman has put forward his resignation after many years of service to the club, and we would like to thank Andrew Theaker for all he has done for the club and its members.
