📚 Did you know that daily storytime is one of the most powerful ways to boost your child’s language, imagination, and love for reading? 💡 Even just 10 minutes a day can spark a lifetime of learning!
Here are simple, fun ways to grow your little one’s literacy skills at home:
🔤 Letter Sounds Play�Make it a game! Clap, sing, or find objects around the house that start with the same sound. Example: “S” for spoon, sock, sofa!
📖 Point & Read Together�When reading, point to each word. Children begin to understand that words carry meaning and flow from left to right.
🎭 Pretend Reading�Encourage your child to tell the story in their own words by looking at the pictures. This builds confidence, memory, and storytelling skills.
🎶 Rhymes & Songs�Singing nursery rhymes and silly songs helps children hear patterns in words, which is the first step to reading success.
