Toy ice rescue mission! π
The children have enjoyed exploring the properties of ice and water, learning how it transforms from a solid to a liquid. While playing with ice is already a favorite activity, adding toys trapped inside makes it even more engaging!
What happens to the ice? Where did it go?
Which one do you think will melt faster? What do you think will happen if we put salt on the ice?

We've had a fantastic half term so far filled with lots of fun and adventure! We've enjoyed visits to various parks, music and rhyme time sessions, a castle and nature walk, playgroups; and trips to the library.
We've also explored a variety of textures through painting, ice and water play, sand castle making, sensory activities, baking, biscuit decorating, play dough and so much more. π₯°

As a childminder, I take food safety and hygiene very seriously. I have just had my first food hygiene inspection and I'm proud to have achieved a 5 STAR hygiene rating! πβββββ
This demonstrates my commitment to exceptional food handling, storage and preparation practices. This rating reflects my dedication to providing a safe and healthy environment for the children in my care, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.

We have been learning all about animals this week and itβs been so much fun so far! Weβve discovered the different sounds animals make, what they like to eat; and where they might live. Along the way, weβve enjoyed singing songs, reading animal-themed books, creating fun animal crafts; and even had an exciting visit to the farm to see some animals up close! ππ΄ππ·ππ

In the EYFS, children are given the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of numbers up to 10. This isn't just rote counting to 10 but truly understanding how each number is made. First hand experiences with numbers and measure are a must! 1οΈβ£2οΈβ£3οΈβ£π©Ά
Mathematics comes into our everyday life. How many trees can we see? Can you order these cups from smallest to biggest? Which ball is the heaviest? What shape is the window?
