As we prepare for our student concert, and the great buzz and sense of achievement students get from it, I’ve been thinking about some of the best ways parents can support learners at home.

Student concerts 2026 are only 2 weeks away! A super program of around 30 performers across 2 concerts (Beginners and primary at 5pm, and older students at 6pm).

I’ve been up at All Saints Ecclesall practicing on the Bechstein in the fabulous acoustic this weekend.

A lovely lunch concert this Monday (23rd) at 1pm (40 mins) if anyone fancies something different. I’m accompanying a soprano soloist performing Frauenliebe und Leben (Schumann).

I just love it.

Be aware that pavements are super icy this morning. I have gritted from the road down our drive.
