It’s always a delight to start a new term! Summer has flown by, and Sept brings new things. For many there are new schools, new teachers, new routines, new journeys! For all of us, a chance to think about our musical journeys this year, and the fun things there will be along the way. ❤️🎵
Looking forward to seeing everyone from Tuesday 😃

Lost property from the concerts today: one grey scarf and one Tupperware tub labelled ‘ginger loaf’. Both are in my hallway to be collected this week!

Thank you all for an amazing evening of fabulous playing. I am, as always, super proud of everyone who performed. 🎵❤️

We will be counting the donations to Lost Chord UK this week, so anyone who still wants to donate, please do so digitally by popping money across to the Bannerdale Music account labelled ‘concert donation’

As we prepare for our student concert, and the great buzz and sense of achievement students get from it, I’ve been thinking about some of the best ways parents can support learners at home.

Student concerts 2026 are only 2 weeks away! A super program of around 30 performers across 2 concerts (Beginners and primary at 5pm, and older students at 6pm).

I’ve been up at All Saints Ecclesall practicing on the Bechstein in the fabulous acoustic this weekend.

A lovely lunch concert this Monday (23rd) at 1pm (40 mins) if anyone fancies something different. I’m accompanying a soprano soloist performing Frauenliebe und Leben (Schumann).
