Day two of Sheffcol Creates at Trafalgar Warehouse was a huge success!

From striking graphic design and captivating photography to creative journalism magazine and impressive games art, our students showcased an incredible range of talent throughout the day. The energy carried into the evening with live performances that brought the space to life and celebrated the creativity across our creative academy

Our first ever Sheffcol Creates Creative Festival wraps up tomorrow with a final day at Yorkshire Artspace.

The week has been a brilliant opportunity for us to publicly showcase the brilliant talents of our creative academy students, and we couldn't be prouder.

Speaking ahead of her acoustic performance at Trafalgar Warehouse last night, student Adessa Williams said:

“I feel really proud of my course and grateful to have been a part of it. I think it has brought me outside my comfort zone a lot. I’m excited and emotional to take part since it’ll be my last performance with The Sheffield College and I can’t believe that it’s all over."

Sheffcol Creates Festival launches to champion creative talent The festival, which is free to attend, involves art, design, film, music, games, graphics, hair and beauty, journalism, performing arts and photography students.

Huge congratulations to our Chef Lecturer, Len, who was named Chef Lecturer of the Year at the British Culinary Federation Awards on Monday!

The awards ceremony brought together chefs, suppliers and industry professionals from all over the UK and celebrates excellence within the hospitality industry.

We're so proud of Len and the incredible commitment he shows to his work and his students every day and we're sure that staff and students (past and present!) will join us in congratulating him!

What a night at Electric Studios for our Sheffcol Creates Festival! 🎤🎸

Electric Studios was packed with talent as our Performing Arts and Music students took to the stage, delivering unforgettable performances. It was fantastic to see so many students sharing their creativity and confidence with a live audience!

We were absolutely blown away by the amount of talent, creativity and innovation on display at our Sheffcol Creates launch over at Hillsborough Campus yesterday!

The exhibition highlighted work from all of our creative disciplines, including 3D Design, games development, media, photography, fashion, art, graphic design and even performing arts and music. Thanks to everyone who came to support our students and see just how skilled they are in their crafts.

Tomorrow sees the semi finals of the National Chef of the Year competition!

Not only are we hosting one of the events at The Silver Plate, but two of our alumni are competing for a place in the final.

Dan Conlon, who is now the Head Chef at Rafters Restaurant and Jack Edgar who is now Senior Chef de Partie at Atlantic Hotel Jersey will have two hours to cook a two course light lunch in this year's semi finals, with the first semi final taking place at The Silver Plate tomorrow.

It’s a double‑whammy to kick things off as we take over our Hillsborough Campus and Electric Studios from 4pm for a night filled with live music, creative talent and an unforgettable atmosphere you won’t want to miss.
