So I hear Y2K skinny is ‘back’……..
NO NO NO NOOOOOOOOOOOO…….
We need to put a stop to this RIGHT NOW.
We can’t go back there.
We need to teach our young people right NOW that their bodies are so more than just an aesthetic prize. It’s the powerhouse of their life, the only home they will ever truly live in. How they build and look after that home directly affects how well it will function, how well it will stand the storms of life and how well it will age.
We need to build bodies that can carry our children and support our aging parents. Bodies that will support us if we fall and keep us mobile and active enabling us to live full and active lives. Strong bodies, powerful bodies, resilient bodies.
Losing body mass is losing muscle mass. Muscles protect and support our bones and drive a healthy metabolism. Healthy fat levels are essential to maintain optimum hormone function.
A skinny body is not a healthy body.
Strong not skinny.
Pass it on.

I treated both these beautiful girls whilst they were growing in their mummy’s belly. How absolutely joyful to still be supporting their health and growth, 5 and 7 years on. Truly a highlight of my working week 💖

Spent a lovely afternoon in the sunshine at Dore Scout & Guide Gala offering free posture assessments and blood pressure checks. Bumped into loads of existing clients which was lovely, chatted all things chiropractic and handed out lots of leaflets promoting our beautiful clinic and all we have to offer. All in all a fabulous day, see you next year!

Had a beautiful Breathwork class today in clinic with Sophie Kirkton.
Such a beautiful pause in the middle of a busy day. A chance to slow down, reconnect with my breath, and consciously release tension held in the body.
Spending time in our peaceful, air-conditioned studio gives me the opportunity to reset my nervous system, quiet a busy mind, and return to the rest of the day feeling calmer, clearer, and more grounded.
Breathwork is such a powerful tool. By slowing and deepening the breath, we can reduce stress hormones, activate the body’s relaxation response, improve focus and mental clarity, lower muscle tension, and create a greater sense of balance and wellbeing.
Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is simply pause, breathe, and come back to yourself. ✨💙
Highly recommend! Half price taster sessions available.

Today we celebrate both the Summer Solstice and Father’s Day.
🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
I’m fortunate enough to be spending this special day with my dad in Shropshire. With the double celebration in mind, we set our alarms for 4:15am and made our way to the top of Lyth Hill to watch the sunrise. As dawn broke, we listened to birdsong and watched the landscape slowly come to life, the first light spreading across the horizon as the world awakened to the longest day of the year.
What a miraculous display of nature, something that happens every day, yet so often goes unnoticed. It was a gentle reminder to slow down, be present, and take time to appreciate the beauty woven into ordinary moments.
Sometimes the most wonderful things are the ones we see every day but rarely stop to notice. 🧡

Huge congratulations to my superstar client and all-round mega babe, Claire (Claire 'Titch' Hirst), who absolutely smashed her first-ever British Gymnastics Championships, finishing an incredible 3rd overall! 🥉✨
I’d love to take full credit and say it’s all down to her monthly chiropractic wellbeing check-ups… 😂
But in reality, this achievement is the result of Claire’s unwavering dedication to her sport, her commitment to training, and the consistent way she prioritises her health and wellbeing. Success like this doesn’t happen by accident—it comes from showing up, putting in the work, and trusting the process.
I’m so proud to play a small part in supporting her journey. Congratulations, Claire. What an achievement, and what a champion you are! 💪🤸♀️✨❤️

Antenatal and post natal care ❤️
I treat everybody, every body, and every age. I love getting to know my clients, building relationships rooted in trust, and creating a space where people can truly let go and move into healing.
But at the core of who I am, I’m a girls’ girl through and through, and nothing fulfils me more than supporting women through the transitional and pivotal stages of life.
There is something incredibly special about caring for a woman throughout her pregnancy journey, then finally getting to meet the beautiful little soul she’s brought into the world.
My heart is full ❤️

Chiropractic is such a varied and rewarding profession, which is exactly why I love it. I work with people of all ages, helping with a wide range of concerns using a variety of techniques tailored to the individual. My care goes beyond treatment alone, I also offer lifestyle advice, supportive exercises, and guidance around stress management to help create lasting change. I genuinely pour my heart and soul into every patient interaction.
If you come to see me as a new patient, you’ll be welcomed into a safe, supportive space where you can talk openly and feel truly heard. You’ll receive a thorough, holistic consultation and examination, followed by a clear report of findings and personalised management plan. We’ll review your progress regularly and work together every step of the way. My aim is that you leave not only feeling better, but feeling cared for and like you’ve found someone in your corner.
My diary is pretty busy over the next few weeks, my next new patient appointment is Monday 12th May.

I love this quote by James Clear
“Every action you take is a vote for the type of person you wish to become”
I talk about this a lot in clinic. It’s the small changes, made consistently over long periods of time that create significant change…..
If you want to be a morning person…..start setting an alarm 15min earlier.
You want to be more active…. use this 15 min to have a short brisk walk.
You want to lose weight….decrease your portion size slightly.
You want to be less sedentary at work….. use your lunch break to have a walk or introduce walking meetings with your colleagues.
You want to be less stressed……. commit to 10 minutes meditation a day which has been shown to decrease anxiety and improve mental health.
Small changes are easier to implement than larger more restrictive changes that we then cannot maintain in the longer term. What changes can you make to move yourself closer to the person you wish to become?
