There is something truly special about the friendships that blossom within our setting! 💛
Watching the children laugh, play, and spend time together is just the loveliest part of the day.
Through these little moments, they’re learning how to share, be kind, and build real connections with one another.
In a warm, fun environment, these early friendships grow into something really meaningful, because learning to be a good friend is one of the most important things of all 🌈
Our new outdoor kitchen set up 💛
Can't wait for the children to enjoy this 🥰

My Fellow Early Years Colleagues 🌈
The ones who show up each morning, even when you’re tired, still ready with open arms and soft voices, steady enough to turn tears into comfort and small moments into magic.
For you who crouch down into tiny worlds, listening properly... not just to words, but to feelings, to the quiet changes no one else quite notices yet.
For you who give and give, in a job that always seems to ask for more, staying behind after the day is done, brushing away sand, resetting the space, ready to do it all again tomorrow
For you who hold children through the hard parts, the big emotions, the fears, the changes, guiding them gently until they feel safe enough to laugh, explore, and simply be.
And for you, especially on the days you wonder if it’s enough… if you’ve done enough, if you are enough.
You are!
Because what you do isn’t “just play,” and it has never been “just a job.” You are the constant, the calm, the safe place - the foundation children quietly build their whole world on.
So this is for all of you... childminders, nursery teams, early years teachers, every single one of you making a difference in ways that may not always be seen, but will always matter. 💗
As Childminding Week comes to an end, just a heartfelt thank you.
This community is full of the most caring, uplifting, and inspiring people, and being part of it, connecting, supporting, learning means more than I can put into words.
This was written for you! 🫶🏻

Frog Discovery! 🐸💧
After reading our focus story we explored our frog-themed discovery tray, using scoops and tools to investigate lily pads, little frogs, and water. The children were learning about frogs and their habitats, discovering where they live and how they move. This activity supported sensory play, fine motor skills, and encouraged curiosity, language, and imaginative play through shared exploration.

How do you like your eggs in the morning? 🎶
We like ours fried, then scrambled! 😄
Today’s busy hands have been scooping, stirring and squishing our “eggs” in the role play kitchen.
This hands-on activity supported the children's fine motor development as they practised controlled movements and hand strength. Exploring different textures encourages sensory development, while imaginative play helps build communication and language skill.
A fun, messy activity full of learning and creativity!

Our Little Stars outdoor area is currently having a little revamp, and the excitement is building!
During a short break in the work, the children eagerly explored the space, showing great curiosity and enthusiasm as they joined in with some digging.
Using spades and a wheelbarrow, they discovered lots of wriggly worms, sparking plenty of interest and conversation. Later, as we settled indoors for a well-deserved rest and snack, the children were fascinated spotting so many birds exploring the soil.
Every day brings new opportunities for discovery and learning!

Let them get messy! It washes off!
Messy play helps children explore, create, and learn through their senses. It might look chaotic, but it’s where curiosity and confidence grow.
Don’t worry about the mess.... it’s a sign of a great day! 🌈 💦
