My name is Rebecca Joy and I am a OFSTED Registered Childminder, I aim to provide a quality childminding service that exceeds the minimum standards required by Ofsted and that is tailored to your family needs. Childminding is more than just a job to me, I am passionate about providing every child in my care the opportunity to not only reach his or her full potential, but also to experience a warm,

loving, home based environment. I believe in working in partnership with parents/ carers, as without their knowledge about their child, I cannot provide the play based curriculum which is planned around each child’s interests, likes, stage of development and family experiences. I have a lovely home based setting which has plenty of equipment and resources appropriate to different ages and stages. I work within The Early Years Foundation Stage 2014 framework (EYFS) which provides assurance to parents that I will keep their children safe and help them to reach their full potential. To ensure all the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage 2014 are met, I provide a commitment to the following:-

To provide a warm, welcoming and stimulating home environment, this will help foster positive relationships with the children in my care. Therefore helping ensure their individual physical and emotional needs are met enabling each child to progress towards reaching their full potential. To offer children a continuity of care in a home environment where they are valued as a member of my extended ‘family unit’
Ensure that by following the EYFS and my policies every child in my care flourishes and that no child is disadvantaged for any reason
To work in partnership with parents and all other professionals involved with the child including other settings and health professionals to ensure that every child is at the centre of the team of professionals supporting that child. To use information from parents/ carers and skills in ‘listening to the views of young children’ to ensure each child’s needs, interests, likes and dislikes, and stage of development is taken into consideration when planning for that individual child. We have butterflies 🦋 8 painted ladies!

What a great experience this has been for the children to watch, learn, and discover together. From tiny caterpillars, they transformed into chrysalises… and now, beautiful butterflies!
Seeing the full life cycle up close has sparked so much curiosity, excitement, and wonder... a learning moment for us all 🐛 🌿 🦋

We’ve been enjoying the lovely weather with lots of outdoor play and activities. The children have had great fun with water play, exploring pouring, splashing and experimenting, as well as enjoying lots more activities and learning opportunities outdoors 💦🌿

We’ve been keeping everyone safe in the sun with sun cream, hats, regular drinks and plenty of time in the shade. ☀️
