Today is National .

Every day, we have the privilege of working alongside incredible teachers and school staff who go above and beyond to support and inspire young people.

Whether it's building confidence, encouraging resilience, or helping children believe in themselves, the impact teachers make reaches far beyond the classroom.

To all the amazing teachers, teaching assistants, support staff, and school leaders across the country, thank you for everything you do.

Introducing the RESPECT Mentoring Programme

Designed for pupils who need targeted support with attendance, behaviour, confidence, relationships and engagement, RESPECT is a structured 20-week mentoring intervention that helps schools make a lasting difference.

Unlike traditional mentoring programmes, RESPECT combines:

✔ Structured weekly mentoring sessions
✔ Measurable outcomes and impact reporting
✔ AQA Unit Award Scheme accreditation
✔ Delivery by experienced Commando Joe’s instructors
✔ A proven framework built around seven key character traits

The result? A consistent, evidence-based approach that helps schools provide the right support, at the right time, for the pupils who need it most.

What does character really mean beyond success, performance, and achievement?

In this episode of the Character Podcast, Clarke Carlisle shares an open and deeply honest conversation about mental health, masculinity, resilience, parenting, and identity after football.

Clarke reflects on the impact of external validation, the importance of emotional openness, and why creating safe spaces for young people to talk has never mattered more.

A powerful reminder that strength is not about pretending everything is fine. It is about having the courage to be honest, self aware, and human.
