We do recommend taking breaks as much as possible when its hot, but what if your newborn just won't be put down?

We looooove ring slings in general, and Baby carriers & slings, custom and in-stock muslin slings in particular!

Minimal layers, breathable natural cotton fabric, and super lightweight to fit perfectly to your baby's shape - this 4T class baby would be giving it the thumbs up, but they are just too sleepy 😉

Get in touch if you want to explore an alternative option for the heat x

How do you do yours?

A lot of people who come for help are surprised to be shown different ways of putting a carrier on, especially if brands tend to show something else!

A simple tweak in how you do things can be the difference between a carrier working for you, or not - which is why we'll always try to help you with the carrier you have, before suggesting something new.

And if you still aren't keen on this method? The clip is part of a longer video I'm editing for youtube with *three* different ways, just for ruck straps!

If you still don't like your current carrier after all that, we'll have a pretty good idea of WHY, so we'll be able to suggest something different based on that - this is the value of getting personalised support 🤗

Hit the booking button on the website to browse all our available appointments/workshops, or pop along to a drop in for quick fit checks - we can help make it easier to carry comfortably, safely and with confidence!

What is a pelvic tuck and why do you have a hard time visualising it? Let me show you with me as the baby! I’m demoing it today so you can actually see the difference..

The pelvic tuck is the final position of your little one after putting them into the sling. It drops their bum deeper into the pouch and keeps their knees up, so they sit in a lovely M-shape with their knees higher than their bum.

Why bother? Because it puts hips, legs and spine in a better position, their head tilts towards you, their bum is supporting their weight for better comfort, and it helps the carrier feel more secure for you too. It's an absolute necessity for a rock solid seat in a ring sling.

Try it next time you’re in a ring sling, stretchy, or buckle – you’ll feel the difference instantly.

Carrying your big kid has never been easier. Let’s be honest, who doesn’t love being carried around when their legs are tired. With one of our carriers, you could march up Mam Tor, breeze through Meadowhall, or do laps of your road as Alix is showing in the video.

Our carriers are as well-travelled as our community and we’re thinking you might make your next trip easier by having one stowed away just the right moment. With next week being half-term, we are expecting families with big kids to need some extra support for your special journeys. Whether you’re going north, south, east or west, we’ve got big kid carriers that might make the trip that much easier. Check out our selection of big kid carriers or ask one of us for some help.

Ever stared at those little tabs at the top of your carrier and thought, "what do these things actually do?"
The ones pointing down size the panel for baby. The ones pointing up are perfect-fit adjusters.

Think Goldilocks:
PFAs undone = Papa Bear. Loads of padding, baggy round the shoulders, baby feels far away.
PFAs done up tight = Mama Bear. Padding stops short, webbing starts to dig.
PFAs just right = Baby Bear. Padding sits where you need it, baby pulls in close, no gap at the top.

That's their whole job. They change how long the padded part of the strap is, so you get a cosy fit whether you're petite, tall, or sharing with someone.

Quick try today: find the two little straps where the shoulder meets the panel and have a play to see if it changes how your carrier feels.

No PFAs on yours and the straps never feel right? Come and try one that has them — we hire out the Isara The One and the LennyUpgrade Pro, both made with PFAs for that just-right feel.
