This session is ONLINE- Do you have a child who experiences difficulties around food? This session will be to introduce & discuss strategies you can try at home. There will be plenty of time for peer support and open discussions. Booking closes 19th March.

Please note we have reduced the amount of information sessions we are delivering, and this session may not run again until the summer. These sessions are not suitable for children. You will be required to be a member of SPCF to attend. No diagnosis required.

👏 CHANGE OF PLAN - WE'RE BACK ON!! 👏

The new venue for today's Autism Parent & Professional Resources Day 2025 is the Leonardo Hotel, 119 Eyre Street, Sheffield, S1 4QW.

We'll be starting at the later time of 11am to move everything across, but it's just 2 roads away from the original venue.

Parking available onsite, or at the APCOA Car Park The Moor.

What does a typical week look like for a SEND Tutor and what do you actually do? 😂🤔
My answer is always that I get to work with truly amazing students from those in mainstream needing extra confidence and support for maths and English, those at home waiting for a special school placement and those that currently find themselves not being understood and missing out on everything. Below are a few of the sessions I do and the resources I use from sensory colour of the day and weather to uno, Star Wars and ball games. It’s all very personalised and tailored for every single student.

A range of our activities from fruit salad, learning about the UK/London, spellings, shapes, reading and making sentences and natural clay work. Making amazing progress and trust 🤩

📣Sheffield have their area SEND inspection oner the next 3 weeks - please PLEASE share your views on the support your SEND children receive 📣

You only have until 4th March (next Friday) to share your views, and there's response categories for children and young people... parents/carers... and practitioners working with children/ young people.

The inspectors want to know about the help and support that children and young people with SEND get - both good and bad stories! This is a chance to share your real-life experiences, not just what should be happening in Sheffield according to policy!
