Frames, EPDM’s and glazing now complete to South elevation.
Backing structure of timber cladding to East elevation commenced today.
Frames and EPDM install to West elevation.
Level 5 plant well cladding panel install ongoing.
Curtain walling to main entrance commenced last week and ongoing.
Block work ongoing internally to GL 5 level 1 and ground floor GL 8.
1st siding walls level 4 and 5 with 1st fix M&E install following the dry liners.
Plant room walls level 1 commence ready for M&E plant delivery on the 19th March.
Firestopping to lift shafts ongoing before we strip the scaffold for the lift install.
Intumescent to all required areas now complete.
Timber cladding now on site acclimatising, this will take around 2-3 weeks (weather depending) to shrink back down to the required size after been pressure and fire treated.

Roof installation ongoing - this is the first 2 layers on the roofing system for the tower building which involves the bitumen primer and the torch-applied bituminous air and vapour control layer.

Last structural topping pour to the upper floors completed Monday to the motion lab roof.

Hoist installation is ongoing and will be completed by end of play tomorrow.

SFS installation commenced to level 2 along GL 7 prior to the installation of the mass climbers.

Lightening protection tapes now installed to the building frame - from the pile cap foundations to the steelwork at ground floor and roof level. Further works involved with this is to be carried out once the roofs are completed.

After craning materials to the roof yesterday, we have now commenced installing the galv upstands to the perimeter of the roof.
Photos of the bonding tests are also shown.
The bitumen primer and torch-applied bituminous air and vapour control layer that is fully bonded to the structural deck including the upstands is soon to follow.

Co-ordination on site today for the crane lift for roofing materials and the pump pouring the 75mm topping to three levels of the building.

Last topping pours to motion lab roof and the truss at each levels will be complete at the end of this week.
1m offset gridlines sprayed out prior to internal trades commencing on site.
Blockwork lift shafts now commenced.
Ground floor slab prep works including drainage commenced this week.

Roofing works commenced this week - peel tests completed prior to commencement on site.

BAM have a great relationship with Sheffield and our last 5 years in the city has generated over 200 permenant jobs and more than 1000 apprenticeship weeks!

75mm fibre mesh concrete - structural topping pour now completed to all levels in phase 1 (GL 7a-9 / A-C1)

Steel and pre-cast concrete phase 2 all levels now complete GL 7a-9 / C1-E1.

Steelwork progressing phase 3 GL 7a-9 / E1-G1.

Commenced prepping phase 1 for grouting works all levels which includes the installation of perimeter edge trim and rebar to tie in the pre-cast concrete planks.

GRP now installed to riser openings phase 1 all levels - 1x layer of 25mm on top of 1x layer of 50mm to achieve 75mm for a flush finish with the structural topping pour.

Scaffolding handrail is now progressing all levels phase 2, for safe access to all floors.

The tarmac now providing the site plant with a clean, firm surface to work off of!

Scaffolders commenced on site this week installing edge protection and void protection for safe access to all levels.

Tarmac to be completed tomorrow to provide a firm platform for MEWP access around the building during construction.
