As we wrap up a fantastic year – we’re looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Women in Engineering Committee for the upcoming year! This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact, empower women in STEM, and gain valuable leadership experience – plus, it looks great on your CV!

Every candidate has to prepare short speech introducing yourself, why you want the role and what you’d bring to committee.

Hey! I’m Sarah, a third year Bioengineering student. One thing I love about being a woman in engineering is that I don’t 😭 Just kidding - I love the sense of community we’ve created that not only provides a safe space for women to connect and grow professionally, but also fosters a sense of empowerment that I truly value. A fun fact about me is that I’m on the tennis team!

Last weekend we had the pleasure of attending New Scientist’s Live again! Our amazing group of volunteers worked so hard alongside some committee members to encourage and engage young children in STEM. It was so amazing to inspire the next generation of women in engineering 💗

What an amazing start to the Semester! It was so lovely meeting some of our new members! We can’t wait for you guys to get involved in everything else we’ve got planned 💗

Hi I’m Eromu and I’m a third year Biomedical Engineering student. One thing I love about being part of Women in Engineering is how we’re all about empowering and supporting each other to break barriers in STEM. A fun fact about me is that I used to be a ballet dancer and that I’ve logged over 1000 hours playing Sims 4!
