A little look at our week! 📚🌟

It’s been so lovely seeing everyone this week and hearing all about their first few days back at school!

We’ve been getting back into the swing of things and working on lots of different place value skills.

I was so impressed with my new group! They got on so well and it was really nice to see them chatting, helping each other and getting involved so confidently 💛

Lots of little wins to celebrate already! ✨

Place value resources all set up ready for my small groups later! ✨

…and we’re back! ✨

My regular after school tuition sessions restart this week and I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone again!

I’ve loved continuing to see some of my learners over the summer for 1:1 sessions, but I’m very ready to get back to our regular sessions and see all those familiar faces again 💛

I’m also really excited to be welcoming some new faces to our small groups this term. There’s lots of fun learning planned and I can’t wait to get started!

Here’s a little peek at one of the activities we’ll be getting stuck into this week… 👀📚

Happy new school year! 🎉

Love hearing how much the children are enjoying their sessions! Messages like these make my day 🥰

It’s been so lovely seeing some of my regular learners over the summer holidays, as well as welcoming some new faces! ☀️

We’ve been keeping learning practical, hands-on and fun, with lots of games and activities tailored to each child. It’s been brilliant seeing confidence grow over the last couple of weeks and watching children realise what they’re capable of!

I still have a few 1:1 summer holiday sessions available:

📅 Tuesday 11th August
🕛 12–1pm
🕐 1.15–2.15pm

📅 Tuesday 18th August
🕛 12–1pm
🕐 1.15–2.15pm

These are my last remaining 1:1 slots for the summer holidays. If you’d like to book or would like more details, just send me a message 😊

The children I work with know I’m always encouraging them to keep learning, so yesterday it was my turn! ⭐

I spent the day at the Tutors Who Thrive conference listening, learning and coming away with pages of notes and lots of fresh ideas that I’m excited to bring into my tutoring sessions.

One of the best parts of the day was meeting so many other tutors. It was lovely to chat with people who genuinely care about helping children grow in confidence and enjoy learning and to share ideas with others who are just as passionate about what they do ☺️

A huge thank you to Tutors Who Thrive for such an inspiring day. My notebook is full, my head is buzzing with ideas and I can’t wait to start putting them into practice! ✨

Could home education be the right fit for your child? 💛

Every child learns differently and there’s no right or wrong path.

For some families, home education provides the time, flexibility and nurturing environment that helps a child feel happy, secure and ready to learn. It creates space to build confidence, follow interests and learn at a pace that feels right for them.

From September, I’ll have a small number of daytime home education tuition sessions available in my cosy learning space on Fulwood Road in Sheffield.

As an experienced primary teacher, I offer personalised English and maths sessions that are designed around each child. Whether your child needs a confidence boost, enjoys learning through hands-on activities or simply thrives in a calm and supportive environment, every session is tailored to help them make progress while enjoying learning.

If you’re home educating, or you’re thinking about it and would like to chat through your options, I’d love to hear from you. There’s absolutely no pressure and I’m always happy to answer any questions or see whether I might be the right fit for your family.

Feel free to send me a message to find out more 💚
