2 stone lost between these two pictures 👇🏻...
Really happy and proud of LEP Fitness client Elliot for the results he’s achieved
The interesting thing about Elliot’s transformation is that he wasn’t starting from a place of doing nothing...
He was already training 3 times per week
He enjoyed running, cycling and using his Peloton...
His cardiovascular fitness was already good
The problem was that despite years of consistent cardio and dieting, he wasn’t getting the physical changes he wanted...
He didn’t want to look like a bodybuilder
He didn’t want a Men’s Health cover physique
He simply wanted to look leaner, more athletic, have more definition through his chest, arms and abs, and feel more confident in his appearance
So we didn’t remove the cardio...
We kept it in because he enjoyed it and it’s great for his health
What we did do was introduce 3 structured resistance training sessions per week using nothing more than adjustable dumbbells and a bench at home...
I built a custom programme around the equipment he had available and over the last 4 x 12-week phases we’ve gradually developed his physique, strength and habits...
There were no extremes
No ridiculous diets
No living in the gym
No giving up holidays or social occasions
Elliott is a successful businessman who travels, enjoys holidays and wanted flexibility whilst still making progress
From day 1 we knew this would be about creating a lifestyle that could be sustained long term and being patient with the process.
The result?
2 stone lost
A leaner, stronger and more athletic physique
More confidence
More energy
And most importantly, a transformation that has become part of his life rather than something temporary
Extremely proud of Elliott and everything he’s achieved 👏
A great example of what can happen when you follow a structured plan consistently over time

I’ve just finished watching the Rafael Nadal documentary on Netflix... 👇🏻
Absolutely blown away
4 episodes and I’d highly recommend it
Growing up, Nadal was one of the athletes I looked up to most
As a kid, he seemed like a real-life superhero
Long hair, headband, huge biceps/forearms, unbelievable physique and the heart of a lion
He just never stopped
No matter how difficult things got, he kept fighting
To me, he was the ultimate example of determination, resilience and refusing to give up
I watched the Wimbledon finals
I watched Roland Garros
I watched the highlight reels
What I never saw was everything happening behind the scenes
The injuries
The pain
The sacrifices
In the documentary, Nadal talks about playing through foot problems, knee injuries and chronic pain
At one point he says there were probably 10-12 Grand Slams he wouldn’t have won had he not pushed through what he was feeling physically
The amount he had to endure just to step onto the court was incredible
And it got me thinking...
How often do we look at someone’s life and assume everything is perfect?
We see the trophies
We see the results
We see the photos
We see the highlight reel
What we don’t see are the sleepless nights, the setbacks, the injuries, the self-doubt, the sacrifices and the battles nobody else knows about
Social media can make this even worse
We create stories in our heads about other people’s lives based on a few photos or videos
The reality is we rarely know what’s going on behind the scenes
Someone might disappear for 6 months
Someone might stop posting
Someone might seem like they’ve got everything figured out
But you have absolutely no idea what they’re dealing with privately
The documentary reminded me that every person you admire is carrying struggles you’ll probably never see
And often the thing you admire most about them isn’t their success
It’s what they had to overcome to achieve it
A good reminder that we’re all fighting battles that other people know nothing about
If you’re interested in mindset, resilience, psychology or human performance...
It’s a must-watch
Have you seen it?

The supplement industry is worth billions...
Most people are spending money on products that massively overpromise and massively underdeliver...
In this episode, I break down 6 popular supplements that I personally think are massively overrated...
and more importantly, what actually matters if you want to build a great physique, improve your health, and feel better...

The older I get, the more I think this is true...
Most men don’t actually want a six-pack
Or a bigger business
Or a nicer car
Or another promotion
I think what they really want is to feel enough
The longer I’ve coached men, the more I’ve realised that very few men come to me because they want to drop body fat or build muscle
That’s what they tell me
But it’s rarely the real reason
What they really want is to feel better about themselves
Because I’ve seen men with great physiques who are deeply insecure
I’ve seen men making good money who constantly feel behind
I’ve seen successful men who never feel successful
And if I’m honest, I’ve been there too
There have been times when I was leaner than I am now and felt more self-conscious
Times when I’ve earned more money than I do today and still felt like I wasn’t doing enough
Times when I’ve walked into rooms full of successful people and left feeling small
Because no matter what level you reach, there’s always somebody doing better
A bigger business
A better physique
More money
More status
More success
If your confidence depends on being better than everyone else, you’ll spend your whole life chasing a finish line that doesn’t exist
That’s why what I do isn’t really about calories, workouts or fat loss
Those things matter
But they’re not the end goal
What I really want is to help men become stronger physically and mentally
To feel confident in their own skin
To stop constantly seeking validation from the outside world
To become the kind of man who can look in the mirror and genuinely respect what he sees
Because the goal isn’t perfection
The goal isn’t more
The goal is peace
And the older I get, the more I think this is true...
The quality of your life will never rise above the relationship you have with yourself

The Weekly Debrief...
We’ve been back off holiday for a couple of weeks now, but if I’m honest, I still don’t feel fully back into routine yet...
Work’s been busy
Life’s been busy
And I feel like I’m still trying to find that rhythm again
One of the highlights this week was watching the Rafael Nadal documentary on Netflix...
Absolutely unbelievable
I’ll share more thoughts next week because I took loads away from it, but the resilience, discipline and mindset throughout his career was incredible to watch
I also watched the Michael Jackson film this week...
Putting all the controversy to one side and purely appreciating the music...
I thought it was one of the best films I’ve watched in the last couple of years
I’ve had Michael Jackson playing most days since...
Current favourite track... Human Nature
Football went really well yesterday too...
Noah had a great tournament, scored some really good goals and produced some fantastic assists
We also booked tickets to watch The Karate Kid in July...
One of my favourite films of all time
Really looking forward to seeing it in the theatre
Gym Training has been solid...
I’ve completed 4 sessions on my new programme...
2 push sessions (chest, shoulders, triceps, quads)
2 pull sessions (back, biceps, hamstrings)
Nutrition has probably been the area that still needs a little work...
Nothing disastrous
But definitely not as sharp as it was before holiday
I think this is something a lot of people experience...
You spend months locked in...
You give yourself a bit more flexibility...
And then it’s sometimes harder than expected to switch back on
The difference isn’t massive
But you notice it
You don’t feel quite as sharp
Training doesn’t feel quite as good
Sleep isn’t quite as good
Energy isn’t quite as good
Small changes... but they have a knock-on effect
So that’s one of my focuses over the next couple of weeks
Work has been brilliant...
I’ve completed 17 x 1-1 coaching sessions this week and 29 client check-ins.
Outside of that...
I’ve spent some quality time with the family
Played plenty of Donkey Kong with Noah
Have a great Sunday everyone 💪🏻
Nick ❤️

You can be proud of yourself... and still want more...
For a long time, I thought growth came from being hard on yourself...
I should be leaner
I should be more successful
I should be further ahead
I should be better
And whilst that mindset can drive results for a while, eventually it becomes exhausting...
Because no matter what you achieve, it never feels enough
There’s always another target
Another goal
Another reason why you haven’t made it yet
Over the last few years, I’ve realised something...
I’m actually proud of myself
I’m proud of the business I’ve built
I’m proud of the physique I’ve built
I’m proud of the father I’m becoming
I’m proud of the standards I’ve kept
And for a long time, I thought being proud of yourself meant becoming comfortable
It doesn’t
In fact, I want more from myself now than ever before
Not because I have to
Because I want to
I want to become a better father
I want to become a better coach
I want to improve my health even further
I want to have a bigger impact
I want to see what I’m truly capable of
That’s a completely different mindset
One is driven by not feeling enough
The other is driven by possibility
I’ve realised you don’t have to choose between gratitude and ambition
You can appreciate where you are...
And still be excited about where you’re going
You can be proud of who you’ve become...
And still be committed to becoming more.
The question isn’t whether you’re capable of more...
Deep down, most people already know the answer to that...
The real question is:
What would happen if you stopped telling yourself you should... and started deciding what you truly want?

16kg lost between these two pictures... 👇
I’ve been working with Mal now for 9 months...
In that time he’s lost 37 pounds (16kg)
Gone from getting out of breath walking up the stairs...
To now doing a 5K run at the weekend without getting out of breathe!
His transformation has been incredible but honestly...
There’s nothing “extreme” about what we’ve done
When we started, the focus was simple:
âś… 2 resistance sessions per week
âś… Increase daily walking (starting with 10 mins per day)
âś… Create more structure with food
âś… Build habits he could actually stick to
We didn’t cut out all the foods he enjoyed...
We didn’t put him on some miserable crash diet...
We simply created a system around his lifestyle
3-5 breakfast options
3-5 lunch options
3-5 evening meal options
All based around calories and foods Mal already liked eating
Then over time...
We slowly increased the exercise intensity
Fast forward to now and his current routine is:
âś… 3 resistance sessions per week (35-40 mins)
âś… 1 cardio session per week
That’s it
Total training time is around 2.5 hours a week
He still goes out for meals with his family
Still lives a normal life
Still enjoys himself
But now he’s fitter, leaner, healthier and more confident
And the best bit...
We’ve still got more to come 👊
This is what happens when you stop looking for the “perfect” plan...
And start following a plan you can actually stick to for 6-12 months
The right structure
The right support
The right mindset
Consistency beats intensity every single time
🤜🏻💥🤛🏻

Over the last 20 years, I’ve realised the biggest changes to my physique haven’t come from extreme diets, magic workouts, or motivation...

whilst also balancing business, family life, stress, travel, and real life...
