Sheffield Inspires. Always has. Always will.

Another brilliant example of creativity from across our trust from our Sheffield Inspires competition earlier this year.

🎨 Today's featured piece is a ainting by Hadeeja K in Year 7 at Mercia School.

One of our shortlisted entries, recognised for both imagination and impact. It's important to remember that Hadeeja is in Year 7! What an incredible talent!

🗣 Judge feedback:

Sile Sibanda said:
"Words can't describe how much I love your painting, Hadeeja. From the way you painted smoke and soot from the chimneys, to the use of colours, especially on the river. Your painting captures Sheffield's steel, hardworking nature so well."

We continue to be inspired by the range and quality of work produced by our pupils.

Y10 GCSE Music students have been taking part in the 'We Compose' project:

Over the past few months the students have been to see musicians from 'Music in the Round' perform pieces written for a clarinet quintet at the Crucible Theatre.

They have then worked with professional composer Martin Berger to develop their own compositions. The final event was an amazing opportunity for students to hear their own work performed live by the ensemble and to work with the musicians to develop their pieces. 🎼

Sheffield Inspires. Always has. Always will.

Today we're showcasing another outstanding entry from our Sheffield Inspires competition earlier this year.

🎨 'Winter Gardens' by Zoe from King Ecgbert School.

Here we see an beautiful piece of artwork by the talented Zoe in Year 8, who also showcases some of her other artwork.

Chosen as one of our standout entries, this piece beautifully captures what Sheffield means to our pupils.
