Great weekend in North Wales delivering a private Scrambling course.

Day 1 was spent enjoying the sun In Cwm Idwal☀️ with a big loop around some of the Classic Scrambles

Day 2 with a deteriorating forecast and westerly wind we headed to the East face of Tryfan, after a warm up route on little Tryfan

Amazing effort from the team and smiles all round. 😀⛰

Last week of work for this winter for myself working for Pure Outdoor Ltd. and it’s was a good one!
Mixed conditions at the start of the week but it was great to see a bit of return of winter towards the end.

The team stuck with it and by the end of a week learning some winter navigation techniques and safe winter travel skills, they planned and executed a Quality mountain day over to Braeriach (1296m) and back down Coire Ruadh

Brilliant to see!! Well done everyone

Now for some personal climbing tomorrow and Friday then the seasonal migration to the south for a summer of rock work.

Now just planning for tomorrow’s adventures

Last 3 days of the winter skills week working for Pure Outdoor Ltd. Some snow shelter digging for our lunch spot, Avalanche awareness skills but the main theme of the week has been winter navigation. We even put all of our skills to practice in some good Scottish white outs

Thanks again guys for being so keen to learn

Winter has returned!! Heres a photo from today working for Pure Outdoor Ltd., no photos from yesterday as it was A bit Ming!
6 great students over the weekend and 2 continuing for the next 3 days.
Yesterday we braved the weather and spent a lot of time looking at winter footwork in and out of Crampons in all kinds of underfoot conditions. Today we focused on Winter Navigation+Avalanche awareness.
Bring on the rest of the week with some real winter to experience.

Great weekend working for Pure Outdoor Ltd. Running there Intro to winter skills weekend. We had some hard condition due to high winds and there being a slight lack of winter at the moment in the Cairngorms but that didn’t dampen our spirits. We even bagged a Munro 🏔 even if it was a little damp 🙂 It looks like winter will be returning next week.

best of luck on your adventures in the future team!

Great day out climbing Yesterday. We climbed on Number 3 gully buttress to make the most of the conditions, the rock was rimed from about 1100m up. So nice to kick the season off with a bang on Sioux Wall IIIV/8. There was also lots of teams out in both number 2 and 3 gully enjoying the hard neve form the last thaw.
