📢 In Case You Missed It...
Back in May, we shared some very exciting news, and we'd love to reshare it with those who may have missed it!

✨ Spark Academy Tutoring has been commissioned to deliver Alternative Provision, EOTAS, and tuition services within Doncaster Local Authority.

This marked an important milestone for us as we expanded our services into a brand-new area, enabling us to support even more children and young people who require alternative educational provision.

As part of the commissioning process, providers are assessed against the standards outlined within the Children Act 2004, and we were incredibly proud to meet these requirements and be approved to deliver services within the authority.

🌟 Celebrating Fantastic Progress in Online Tuition! 🌟

We just had to share some of the brilliant work completed by one of our amazing primary students! ✏️💻

She joins us online for one 30-minute lesson each week, and it has been wonderful to see her confidence and literacy skills continue to grow. 🌱

During our sessions, we have been focusing on introducing new grammar concepts while also embedding and strengthening previously taught skills. Recently, we’ve been working on:
⭐ Using bullet points to organise ideas clearly
⭐ Including fronted adverbials to sequence instructions and improve sentence structure
⭐ Generating exciting adjectives to add detail and description to writing

Each week she brings a fantastic attitude, tries her best and continues to make lovely progress with her writing. 💫

What is EOTAS?
You may have heard the term EOTAS (Education Other Than At School), but what does it actually mean?

EOTAS is educational provision arranged when a child or young person is unable to attend a mainstream or special school because a school setting is no longer suitable or able to meet their needs.

Under an EOTAS package, education is delivered outside of a school environment and is tailored to the individual learner. This may include:
🏡 Home-based learning
💻 Online tuition
📖 1:1 personalised teaching
🌟 Bespoke educational programmes

EOTAS can be a temporary arrangement while a suitable school placement is identified, or it can be a longer-term solution where it is clear that a school setting is not appropriate.

At Spark Academy Tutoring, we specialise in delivering bespoke EOTAS packages through our team of experienced, fully qualified teachers. We support children and young people with:
