So it was that tricky second beginner's class on Monday evening, was anyone going to come back? And they did! Mostly, and a few new faces too 😀 (For those that thought once is enough.... we're grateful you gave us a try, thank-you. Can't ask for more.)
And I think everyone had a grand old time, as we led down sets and turned our partners, and got to know more people. Can't wait until next Monday 😀 🥰 💃 🕺.
We've more space on the floor if you want to come and join us... (Monday evenings are indoors... )

Remember this Saturday is our second social dance of the year and it would be great to see you there. The programme has something for everyone, so whether you are a beginner or a seasoned dancer, come and join us.

We were thrilled some lovely Sheffield-ers gave up some of their Monday evening last night to join us for 90 minutes or so of laughing, sorry - dancing. Well, some of each really. We're really hoping they can fit us into their lives and come back next week. Anyone else want to come too? You're very welcome.

Way hey!!! Just over 24 hours before our beginners class. We can't wait to welcome you to a fun way to get fit, make new friends and have a great evening. Our Angels will be on hand to help and they are having a bet as to how many new beginners we will be welcoming. So come along, either on your own or with a partner/friend/husband and give Scottish Country Dancing a try. We are sure you will enjoy it.

Remember, soft soled shoes, comfortable clothing, your own refreshment and your biggest grin which should last for the evening.

Our new beginners class starts next Monday, 28th September at 6:30 pm until about 8:00 pm, in the main hall on the site of Bents Green Methodist Church. If you can't make next Monday, join any Monday. We'll still be pleased to see you 🙂💃🕺

We're so looking forward to sharing our joy of dancing with new people. We know it's not easy walking into a room of strangers on your own, which is why we will our best to put you at ease, and you'll be laughing along with us in no time.

Dancing is so good for everyone - you just need to find your groove. This is ours. We'll ease you in gently, show you how much fun it is, teach you the steps and some simple dances, with angels who already know the ropes on hand to help you through. Wear soft soled, comfortable shoes, and bring a bottle of water or similar. Can be thirsty work! More information on our website.

Our new beginners class starts a week today!! Monday 28th September at 6:30 pm until about 8:00 pm, in the main hall on the site of Bents Green Methodist Church.

We're so looking forward to sharing our joy of dancing with new people. I know not everyone will take to it - but you can't ask more from anyone than that they come with an open mind and give it a try (which is why the first class anyone attends is free.)

Well, it is time to look forward to another Saturday Social Dance. Make a date for a trip to various locations during the evening. From Yorkshire, to Argentina; from Balfour Road to Glasgow. We invite you to come and enjoy, the date is Saturday 3rd October 2026. Usual place and usual time.

Do something good for yourself this Autumn. Promote your mental, physical and social health - and join a dance class. If traditional tunes float your boat, and you want to fly, turn, laugh and make friends - we recommend us 🙂**. Just a wee reminder that our regular Intermediates' class starts back next Monday, 7th September, 7:30 pm, at our usual venue - Bents Green Methodist Church Hall. Looking forward to seeing you all then.

Our new beginners' class starts three weeks later, on Monday 28th September at the earlier time of 6:30 pm, also at Bents Green Methodist Church Hall. Spread the word, and share the joy.

Many of you may remember that RSCDS Sheffield celebrated our 70th Anniversary last year with a new book of dances, The Fourth Sheaf Collection of Scottish Country Dances. The full instructions are available to download from our website, and the first batch of accompanying videos have now made it to our YouTube page.
